From http://www.battle.net/forums/thread.aspx?fn=sc-general&t=199664&p=1&#post199664 hmmm the "shield" is not really defensive for marines. It just increases their hit points. haha who knew? yay for smart casting too... it'll make life a bit easier.
Cool, let's hope they stop revealing more Protoss units that we all know already and start telling us what are the Terran units
Well, now i guess we can officially close the marine shield inquiry. I'm personally interested in the multiple casting with a single command thing they were talking about.
Excelent! a few more of the hundreds of questions are answered. Yet there is still much more to wonder.
multiple castings on one command is what happens with every ability in starcraft. If you have multiple high templar selected and cast psi storm, every high templar selected that has enough energy to cast psi storm will cast it. With smart casting, only one unit will cast at a time. However, it may sometimes be the case where a player will want all the selected ones to cast the same ability at the same time. They could just have players press down a key like ctrl or shift or something before casting when they want all the units to cast the ability.
Ahhhhhh...I thought they were talking about everyone casting, but on a different unit. Like ghosts need to lockdown a bunch of Battlecruisers, so you just press a button and they'll all target different cruisers.
haha sure beats clicking (or hotkey/keyboard to make life a tiny bit simpler) frantically to get each individual ghost to lockdown each individual unit.
with smart casting it's just hotkey, click, hotkey, click, hotkey, click, hotkey, click, hotkey, click, etc...
