I loved reading the comments where people are saying how dumb it is that others would pay $25 for it. In another MMO I play, some people spend thousands of USD a month since even though the game is free, to stay on top of the pvp means a lot of item mall buying. I've even heard rumors that some people are willing to spend over 10k a month...

So 25 USD for a pet isnt that ridiculous, thats only about 2 months of payment for the game.

 

Well it doesn't grant any bonuses.. why buy it?
Btw blizzard would never sell stuff like weapons etc etc.. it's not their thang.

One my friend played a ****ty pirate game (that you could play with a browser) and he spent around 170$ per month so that he could stay at the pvp level of the game. He had some in-game friends that spent thousands per month (rich kids, company bosses, ...)

Also, a pink pony mount would be absolutely hilarious. Please add it either as buyable or as tauren paladin mount?

 

I don't buy that much IM, very little infact. But, it is possible because the game website does list the top IM buyers, and the accounts listed always had the amount of IM purchase worth thousands of USD. And its pretty well-known ingame that the top players spend most of the money they have after paying bills on the game.

 

I was actually thinking of this. You can bet people will be listening to it while they fly on their robot unicorns fancy horses.

How is this different than DLC packages? You pay a small fee, you get cool stuff. It's how companies like Bioware make a living.
