A while ago I watched some of Boxer's matches. He - along with all terran pros - uses vultures a lot (obviously due to fast movement and mines). Now my question is, how is he able to quickly encircle a group of dragoons and then simultaneously drop mines at all angles of the clock around the goons? Until I am able to use this tactic, vultures are pretty useless to me because my ones tend to get bogged down attacking and die quickly (talk about a useless commander). Help is much appreciated!
What Boxer does is some extremely difficult micro with an extremely high APM rating. Normal people like you and me aren't able to do those kinds of tricks. It's pretty hard for someone to do that who's outside of professional circles. I advise you to try this when you get much better. Stick with fast hit-and-run raids if you must stick with vultures but don't attempt this yet.
