I know the Ghost has the EMP, and i know the Nomad has the Mine drone. But I would like to show my new IDEA! I think the Ghost has to many abilities, and I think the Mine drone comes to late (everyone has detection at tier 3), so I fusion those two abilities and created the: The EMP drone/turret: This drone/turret will be planted like the other turrets. When its planted it will be cloaked, and after 3 seconds it will explode and damage all units shields by 100 in a medium area. If the drone is destroyed before it explodes, it will not unleash the EMP.
i would rather have EMP as a instant cast... maybe move the EMP to the nomad?? maybe the nomad can build the EMP missile (which takes some time), and then cast it =]
That limits the EMP, and it doesn't give you choice over who you hit it with thus wasting EMP. But yea, I don't think the Ghost really needs EMP, it would be more fitting on the Nomad.
It has a medium area of effect so it will be as good as plauge life wise... And if the cost is low a few nomads would be able to mass them...
yeah emp definately needs to be a castable ability, nomad is a good choice. could also be a weapon option for the bc.
Not really @ bc as a lot of games end before bcs are even available. Nomad because it detects and you would want to EMP a cloaker such as a Ghost so it isn't cloaked. Also Nomad are flyers meaning they can be anyway at whatever given time making the use of EMP more effecient. @Furrer how could you power me down for 'posting off topic' Don't be mad cuz you idea isn't though thru and I never supported it. so you want a power up , I can give you one if it makes you happier if a EMP kill all the electric circuit then if we emp a BC it should crush like the north 2 lol
I definitely like this idea, except I think it would need to be tweaked a bit. I don't think it should be a time delay activated weapon. It should either be something like a sentry tower with a manually activated damaging EMP attack, or it should be launched as a missile, similar to how it was in StarCraft1, however it would need to come from something a bit bulkier than the Ghost. Maybe the Nomad might be able to have it. However, to keep it as a Ghost's ability, they could just use the pointer to 'call in' an EMP blast from their base. Perhaps it could work similarly to the Nuke, except with a lesser time delay. It's definitely a good idea. I'd often wondered why Terran wouldn't add some sort of damaging weapon to the Science Vessel's EMP. They're launching a missile after all, why not add some explosives to it?
i like the bomb idea. if the nomad needed to be directly over the drop they could make the area of effect larger.
