Eliminate 1st and second edition pets

Way back when when we were using SMS we had second edition pets because the original stocks ran out. Now we don't have any stocks and the pets are apparently infinite.

I say NOW is the perfect time to just remove the distinction between bets and make everything a first edition with a blue frame. What say you?

i totally agree!! Theres no point in having 1st and 2nd edition types of pets because 1. This is a new forum and 2. A new shop just opened.

 

I agree, I never liked the yellow frame(was the reason I bought all first-edition). But know they only have yellow fames in shop, and it looks like there's way too much yellow since most pics have yellow in them in the first place.

Blue looked alot better then and would look alot nicer now due to the mostly blue/black skin of the current forum instead of clashing like the yellow does.

 

I liked the First/Second Edition distinction. It gave pets more of a 'collector's feel'. People who don't care one way or the other can still have their unlimited pets, while people who do care can be collectors.

No, for the same reason I said no to resetting the records. The items we own reflect our personalities, and how much we contribute/post/win competitions. Second editions were implemented to create a new type of item, first editions, which were pets and collectibles at the same time, having the value of both.

Keep 1st and 2nd editions, because the difference between the two are not just a matter of frame colour.

Yeah even if we do have 2 editions I would like to see the frame change to a different color.

Actually second edition pets were made because people were pissed off about all the rich members scooping up all the pets and was a fix to a shortcomming the admin had when he underestimated the volume. THe new tyoe of items was just a side effect

Regardless they seem to have had some difficulties in records so some of the 1st edition pets are gone anyways and I can imagine that upsetting the balance some.

 

+1 to grey frames, that seems like a good compromise - keep the two types and also make 2nd editions look nicer, especially with our forum colour scheme.

 

If we do get a change of frame color which pets will get the grey?

I think we should just be able to pick the colour of the frames when you purchase the item.

As far as first editions, they will be making a return. Why don't you guys want them?

(Given that this "return" probably won't be for a few weeks.)

 

Whats the return policy if i dont like my pet? Money back gurantee? What if I wanna change it? Is it potty trained!

 

I like paying hundreds more for a blue frame.

nope, i just voted right now. And i voted yes.

 

Depending on how stock works in the new shop, I think it should be like when the shop first was created. There is no need for second editions now because everyone is on a fair playing field and can save up for 1st editions.

2nd editions were only made because many cheap 1st edition pets had been bought out by people like TerranGod and BoP and placed in the trade center for 2k+, giving new members only a small chance to ever beable to buy any pets.

 

There are quite a few people who could help with the items, Jon. And if that's what it takes to keep the distinction, then I'm up for doing all the pets. Also, please fix the prices if you have the previous ones written down.

blue frame is whats gives us the distinction of a collector from a "oh wtf, ill buy a pet just because i have the money"

i mean, its like distinguishing me w/ all of my toss pets w/ blue frames > all of toss pets w/ yellow pets
