I'm just wondering, does anyone here run it? If you don't, I suggest you do, even if only for a kickass screensaver. Here's what it is, from the website: Basically, it's using the power of all the computers running it to make 'electric sheep.' These 'sheep' take the form of fractal-like animations, always shifting and morphing. You can 'vote' for your favorite ones. The ones with little votes are essentially culled from the group. You can alo breed your own sheep, and submit them to the flock. It's a very interesting concept in my opinion. It's basically a constantly evolving, constantly improving screensaver. Now, while a screensaver isn't oh-so-awesome, it presents an interesting idea (In my opinion), that of electronic evolution. Here's some images, just so you know what it looks like: This is the main site, while this is the main download page.
I used to have it something like a year ago but I didn't like some of the sheep so I killed it the other reason was that it uses a considerable amount of resources and I didn't like that.
I used to run it before I reformatted my hard drives. It was fascinating, but I didn't look at much and now my computer is set to turn the monitor off after inactivity and skip the screensaver I just had a though. The new GPhone runs on the android platform so wouldn't it be interesting if this were a screensaver for it?
