    Hi Everyone,

I've completed the campaign on normal difficulty without too much trouble.
But now I'm trying to learn online play, the first thing I noticed is that single player tactics used in the campaign are a complete failure against real players or AI (even at the bottom of bronze league)

I read the basics about getting the economy up and running but for some reason, even if I stick to general build order in the beginning, by the time I have created 4 marines and 4 maurauders, the eneny comes rushing in with a triple amount of units and even 2 siege tanks?

I cannot create SVC's faster and even If I do I won't have any unit to defend myself.
In this early stage It's impossible to have a second base, time is just too short.

In another game with I've tried again to establish an economy and successfully repelled the reaper wave thrown at my base in the early beginning
Then (with 2 bases generaring funds with recommended amount of SCV's) When I had a 5 banshees and 3 battlecruisers.
I did a scan on the Enemy and saw he had 8 battlecruisers 15 vikings and 10 banshees and 4 Starports pumping out units
I had 2 starports but building more was useless since I was unable to to keep both running due to lack of minerals.

But wheter it's early or mid game the enemy is always able to produce seemingly impossible amount of units (my buildings are running at full speed and using no upgrades to save funds for more units)

Anyway it seems that the main issue here is poor economy.
I've read that 22 workers per base is optimal but I'm 'not sure anymore.

Normally, economy is the least of my worries. I just keep one SCV building at all times, and expand my base forward as early as possible, then move all of my currently built SCV's forward to that base. I don't really follow build orders since I have yet to read any explanation of them that makes sense, so I pretty much just "wing it" as I play and do alright.. although i have yet to play SC2 multiplayer because of my crap computer. :/

Are you using mules as well? Mule's bring in so much income.
I also try to make sure my command center has always 2 scv's cued for making. The good thing about over saturation is, when you expand you don't have to make more scv's to get that expo running.

I'm only and avg terran player, however gathering minerals doesn't seem to be the problem for me. Using my minerals is my big problem for terran.

Hmmm... I could say I'm on the same boat as Hodl pu... I find resources aplenty(those mules help a lot there) but getting my infantry effective while being mobile so I can hold onto expos is something I'm having trouble with. And I have to put lots of my focus on fights so my base gets neglected and minerals stockpile and when my army is dead I'm vulnerable to counterattacks as I keep forgetting that I can build stuff as I play... Not so relevant perhaps, but hey, the opposite of a thing gains in relevance(sp?) exactly because it's the opposite :p
Try making an orbital thingie(command center upgrade) at about 15-20 population to get those mules a-farming.
