E3 2009

The Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 will be taking place at the L.A convention center from June 2-4 2009. This event is for developers, companies and other members of the game industry to show off their most recent developments and progress with their products.

So the question is what are most exicted for or hope to see at this years E3? Which company out of the main 3, Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft will you think will have the best E3? Will there be any surprises or disappointments?

The only thing i'm excited about is the possibility of half life 2 episode 3 info being released >.>. That said i'm hoping for portal 2 and any valve game being announced. They havn't released any 100% valve games since the orange box (L4D didn't start off at valve) =(.

 

I'm always betting on Duke.

 

Even if it Duke Nukem Forever was announced as being completed after 12-13 years there is no way it can possibly live up to that and even if it turns out to be a decent or even great game people still aren't gonna be fully satisfied because at this point its kinda impossible.

 

You guys do know that 3DRealms (the developer!) went belly up, right? Getting sued for not completing the game, etc.? Duke Nukem Forever isn't going to happen.

I think it just was a rumour 10-neon!

 

A trailer for a new Metroid game has been released, developed by Team Ninja with Nintendo take a look. Looks to be a more action oriented game than previous games in the series

Then we have a new Metal Gear Solid game with the subtitle "Lightning bolt action" and "Rising for Xbox 360 and possibly other platforms. Not much is know about it other than it seems to feature Raiden as the main character or another Cyborg Ninja character.

Next up a new Zelda game has been confirmed for the Wii and the graphic style looks very similar to that of Orcania of Time but updated of course for the current generation.

Finally, Mario Galaxy 2 was also announced for the Wii.

 

For those who don't know, Team Ninja made the Ninja Gaiden games. Crossing my fingers for a Metroid Gaiden.

Also, and this is the highlight.

Golden Sun 3. For DS. F*** YEAH

 

There was Golden Sun 2?

 

Golden Sun 2: The Lost Age. Very similar, just more of everything. Bigger world, more classes and spells, more side quests, special summons (Catastrophe FTW) and just awesome. Felix is way more hardcore than Isaac

 

Dude iv been wateing for a golden sun 3 if they make it for the ds ill steal my brothers and buy it.

 

Golden Sun: The Lost Age is generally what I refer to when I speak of the perfect RPG. I still actually play it whenever I find my DS. There is really nothing wrong with it. Hell, even the graphics kicked ass at the time. Who says sprites suck?

 

I liked the game because of the way it looked, the story, and the feel of it lets just hope they don"t screw it up.

Yes i Agree it was one of the best rpgs out their only other is Valkyrie profile and the original shining force (second one sucked @$$).

 

I played Lenneth on the PSP, can't say I cared much for it. Side scrollers aren't my thing unless they're Metroids.


And screwing up GS: DS is a very large possibility cause it's not the original developers...I think...Cause I think Camelot folded a while back

 

In lenneth I liked the unique attacking it had and the side scrolling was really nothing different then the 3d layout we get in other games just made it a bit different but I liked the art and the feel it had.

I can see it going from a old cell shaded cartoon or movie we all loved when we where kids with its vibrant art and character uniqueness to the factory made look and feel that most cartoons have now a days (in that context).

 

As I thought, I just never considered this one a second game, more as an expansion continuing on the storyline.
How's Felix more hardcore? He's got "emo" all over his face while Isaac is known all over the world for kicking ass. I liked the Lemurian guy though.


Lenneth was nice, but the story was handled horribly. I'm not judging the story itself because, well, I haven't seen it! Possible spoilers:

The default ending gives you the general idea of the war in Asgard and you sending warriors there, then it throws in a few hints about something bigger going on behind the scenes. I guess most of the story is stuffed along the way to the so-called "A ending", but you pretty much have to know exactly who when and how to send to get this one before you start playing.

 

L4D2 baby i think thats what happened at E3 2009 but i remember news about L4D2 which pisses me off they promised me new weapons to beat expert with me and my buds but they lied and are comming out with a seccond one honestly in the near future i could see a Half Life 3 comming out

 

Golden age 3 '2010 hell yeah, but too bad we only get too see the environment trailer. Scribblenauts will definitely get my DS on fire this september. Sadly I found no interesting ones for the psp, which sucks I wasted money for a console with so little interesting games (currently playing dissidia & MHU) - I hate sony for releasing PSP go after selling PSP3k for only about more than a year difference. Its just not right....

 

There's Dissidia, Fate UC and Soul Calibur if you were into fighting games. Then there's...err... Blood Bowl?
