Dungeons and Dragons

Does any one play aside from me?
Dont tell me I'm the only one on Starcraft2forums.org that plays..... That would make me sad.

 

I'm gonna start playing soon... I know some people that have played since 3rd came out and I hope to join them in a new campaign sometime this summer, when Magnus finally get's something done. Right now I'm helping him with ideas for his homebrew world.

 

I've always wanted to learn how to play, it's totally my thing. Problem is, there's only like 5 guys who play it round here, and they all creep me out.

 

Just buy a plane ticket and come over here and play with me then

 

I've never played, but my dad did, and it sounds like fun.

I would have played if A) there were others that played, and B)games didn't take hours or days to play

 

D&D only like twice via chat, but I played some other systems more in high school. Now I just don't have anyone to play with other than on forums

Eon if you had people to play with, you could always just meet once a week or more for 2-3 hours. The biggest problem is always finding time that would suit everyone in the group

 

It's times like this I really miss the chat. It would be great to have a weekly chat RP with you all.

 

I used to play, but preferred warhammer.

 

I've only read through an old version of the Warhammer RPG and that was like 8 years ago. Do you play the old or new one? What's it like? Does it capture the feeling of the Warhammer world?

 

lol i've a few campaigns saved on my hard drive that i've written, problem is DnD is hard to organize online.

 

I played classical, old warhammer. The new one doesn't hold a climate, tooo DnDs if you know what I mean..

 

The way I'd do it in a chat is having the DM run all the mechanics on his/her end, rolling dices and all that, and storytelling it to the players.

There are actual programs that work online that can provide a grid and other tools for a game like DnD to be played online without everything being done on one end.

 

When I ran horror games some years ago I basicly stopped using dices and all that and relied on my storytelling skills. Everybody had a great time and they still remember it today. I feel happy now.
