I'll save all of my drool for the machine I will have the money for in a month or so

    -Core 2 Duo E8500 overclocked to 4GHz
    -4 gigs (2gb x 2) Corsair XMS2 RAM
    -GTX 280 (1gb)
-nForce 780i mobo (supports three-way SLI for future GTX 280 stacking)
    -1.07 TB of HDD space (750gb + 320gb)

    Starcraft 2 doesn't stand a chance.

According to the benchmarks, the difference isn't all that big for now. Supposedly the gap between 8000 and gtx 200 architecture will be taken advantage of in the future, but for now it's not really worth the pricetag. I just splurged on the 280 because it's the first time in my life where I actually have an excess of cash.
