First, find a Vespene Geyser. Put probably 3/4 of a screen's space between the drone and the geyser. Tell the drone to build an Extractor, and set a waypoints full to where you want to float. So, Build Extractor, go to where you want to float it, and hold Shift+right click until it says waypoint list is full. Then once the drone is right next to the geyser, about to get on, Hit s, or stop, as many times as possible, right when it's about to get on. It should go on the middle of the geyser like it's going to build the extractor, but as soon as it goes in the middle, it should lose its shadow and float to your waypointed site. You can set multiple waypoints for it to float to like for example: Shift+right click on the right side of map, still holding shift, right click to other places you want it to go. You can even mine minerals, and waypoint it back to your hatchery. It works! But it may take 5-7 tries to get it right. I will try to get a screenshot.
I don't know, people just seem to like exploiting glitches for fun. Maybe cheat in real games? like your drone is trapped, and you just happen to haeva geyser next to you, you can save the drone.
hehe i usually get stuck building those storage things with my SCV's but now you can put them into the ground. i like that very very much xD
they did this is a new way... i knew about this a long time ago and i could only do it on slowest speed yes this is hard to do
