A lot of people have been saying that they expect the graphical quality of StarCraft 2 to increase dramatically before it is released. This thread is not going to be a discussion of that as it is being discussed in other threads. Instead, this thread is asking 10 people to put their money where their mouth is. I figure I will have around 50,000 minerals saved up by the time SC2 comes out. So, I bet the first 10 people 5,000 minerals each that the graphical quality of StarCraft 2 will NOT increase dramatically before it is released. You do not need to have the 5,000 now, you just have to have it by the time StarCraft 2 is released. Also note that by graphical quality I mean polygons, texture resolution, etc. I do not mean stylistically. Also, this only applies to the units that have already been revealed. This does not include anything yet to be revealed such as the zerg as there is no base to judge their improvement.
Dont play with subjective opinions. "Dramatically" is one of those dangerous, ambiguous words. To be more specific: Aint gonna work paragon.
hhhm... what is drastic change on graphics could exactly mean? polygon count? i cant count them... im not sure. so i will not join. i may lose. hahah. but anyway im sure starcraft 2 graphics and visuals will be smoother and sharper when it is release. and there will be tons of special effect and animations than what we have seen in the past as well as now.
http://www.starcraft2.com/features/terran/ http://www.starcraft2.com/features/protoss/ Those units will be in the final game with the same texture/poly-count as seen now or they won't be in the game or the design will change. Basically, if those units are in the game, what they look like now is what they will look like then. Polygon's can easily be counted by importing models to 3D modelling programs. Or you could just like... look at them and tell which one has more in a second. It is incredibly easy to tell:
Actually GrahamTastic, I understand what Paragon is saying perfectly. Maybe you are having trouble interpreting it...?
