Dragon Ball Evolution = piece of **** !

Yes . I am a hhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee fan of the Dragon Ball serie. Since the 80's ! I loved to watch Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. Even I rewatched them.

I was excited in seeing that Hollywood was creating the Dragon Ball movie. (20th Century Fox)
But .... I guessed that it will not be as I expected. Hollywood made Street Fighter, which was crap !

If Blizzard decided to make a movie of Starcraft, ..... huh ..... they must be careful.

So go into details about the movie....What was the plot of the story?
How many classical characters were in the movie?
So should I not go and see it?
And hey I love Dragon Ball Z too...I own all of the PlayStation 2 games for it...loved them, beat them, and never missed a episode and I even read the comic book....

 

They are callad mangas, not comics. You should know that if you read them. And the original animated version is different iirc. More gore. You could try watching that -with subtitles- if you feel like watching some sagas before the movie.

Anyway, why would you want to know all about it before you go see it? That would spoil all the fun of discovering what happens. -Not that it is really epic or anything, most of the conversations in the animated version last longer then this movie...-

 

I heard its worth the watch if you can see it for free (as in online). Why? Because it's hilarious and silly, which it probably wasn't mean to be.

 

....I...I don't know what to say.
Frankly I don't see how that movie could be good.

 

@Aurora: I know that they are mangas but I prefer to call them comics because not everyone knows of mangas....And I want to know all that info because I don't want to waste my money to go and see and I not like it....And I know the sagas...

 

I'm skeptic to it as (I didn't click on the youtube link, so I don't know what it shows) the last trailer I saw, showed "Goku" when he powers up and his hair rises, and in the trailer it made me laugh so hard as it looked so stupid.

wow, those characters have nothing in common with the real chars.... Goku doesnt even have cool hair....

 

This might be a good time to say that the Oozaru also look like crap, and the bad guy is a new one... Not even from any of the mangas that did not managed to make it into the animated series. -or the direct to video movies-

@ LoverBoy: watch it for free then. Nobody here will blame you with such a piece of crap. And about the comic: there is quite a big difference between a comic and a manga. A manga ofthen goes WAY deeper with their stories. In some countries -mostly Japan, adults read mangas instead of books. I think that says enough.

 

Just watch the second link I gave above the first one. This Second link leads to a video in youtube where some fans created a fight between Gohan vs C17&C18. So goooood ! So cooool !

I have still not seen the movie, I just saw the trailer, and judged the scenario by the trailer. But the trailer sucks a** so it is evident the whole movie is s*** !
Bulma fights with Goku with guns in her hands. Have you ever seen Bulma with guns ?
And there are other characters I don't know. Of course I watched the French version, but their faces do not reflect the anime. I don't even recognize (San)Goku !
And Goku who says "I don't know if I can do this ... " (or something like this). No ! For Goku I know, everything is possible ! Not in this movie apparently.

My friends, here, who love Dragon Ball, I say, I, as a fan of Dragon Ball, that this movie is a blasphemation !

They are called 17 and 18. No idea where the C comes from. Super Android was the best one anyway. He almost defeated Goku.

And Bulma indeed never uses guns. The only stuff she uses comes out of capsules.

And the whole quest for the Dragonballs thing sucks anyway. The best thing of the series, and especially the manga, were the battles and humor. Now they tried to make it look cool...

They were called androids every single time. Even while they were humans with implants, writing the c and calling them androids makes no sense.

First thing she does in the manga is to shoot Goku in the head with a handgun. Just saying.

 

Yes it's true !!! I remember well. But frankly that was just an instant in the whoooooooooole serie. In the movie she fights as a warrior. I think the scenarist made a mixity between Bulma and ... the schizophrenic girl who has a double personality who changes the color of hair and her agressivity each time she sneezes.

C is for Cyborg. There were Cyborg 16, C17, C18, C19 and C20 (who was Dr. Gero).
In this movie there is no Cyborg. Maybe they will come in Dragonball 2 ? (if this second version is made).
