This game....Is amazing. Like, everything that you hear about it? True. Yeah, EA's still a douche, but whatev, this game kicks ***. The combat is tight, the controls are easy (Learn the hotkeys), the game challenging (but with user adjusted difficulty, as challenging as you want it to be ;) ).

    In short, awesome.

I'mma go play it some more now kkthxbai

I've got it for PC. I doubt there's going to be a modding base as large as that for, say, Oblivion, but imo, the controls are much slicker on PC. Hotkeys ftw.

I'm afraid that I don't have a pc yet that can run it. I'm waiting for the final specs needed for SC2 bedford buying a new one. I'll mostly be playing that for a whole while, so meh.

I'm just going to read few reviews then.

    The story is....

If you played Mass Effect, you don't need to pay ANY attention to the plot. There's a lot more background than in Mass Effect, but the general plot is the same, just swap out robots for monsters and bigger robots for Demons.

    That's not to say it's a bad story, it's just....Well.
In Dragon Age, your character is a Grey Warden, known all about for their killing prowess. In Mass Effect, you're a SPECTRE, known all about for your killing prowess.
In Dragon Age, you fight Darkspawn, emerging from the Blight for the first time in 400 years. In Mass Effect, you fight Geth, emerging from the Veil for the first time in 400 years.
In Dragon Age, no one believes you. In Mass Effect, no one believes you.

Oh gawd. Not again. Story is important. I hate cliche stuff. (Which is why Bioshock is still my favourite next gen game.)

If the story in Oblivion is a 7, what would Dragon Age be?

If you've never played Mass Effect, a 7(ish). I'm really not kidding when i say it's the same story.

So far, I've liked it more than Oblivion, really the only aspect that Oblivion does better is that it's sandboxed. The gear is easier to understand in Dragon Age, the enemies aren't oddly leveled (Orcs running around with crystal swords? lolwat), and there is a quite a bit of open endedness to things, as you can do quests in almost any manner you please (Short of going around stabbing anything that moves).

But but but... You were supposed to be able to choose your origin this time and influence the whole story in an epic way. :(

Still going to buy it anyway.

You do, there's like 5 or six.

I'm currently doing the Human Noble, but I'm stuck...Unless I spontaneously gain the power to walk through fire.

So extinguish it. This is a next gen rpg. Surely there has to be some post of physics model. ;)

No, it was actually a bug and a certain door didn't unlock. All fixed now.

Also, my respect for it just increased. I completed one of the DLC's (comes free with retail purchases, go figure) which included a new member for my party, Shale. An ancient war golem. Who hates humans, has a British accent, dreams of the annihilation of all birds, and is quite possibly the second most effeminate member of my team. In short, the most amazing amazing character in a cRPG I've ever seen.

    He's awesome.

His equipment is various elemental crystals, when you add one and talk to him, he asks if it's 'slimming.' If you say it's very slimming, he muses that 'it must be the vertical pattern that it put it in. Did it know to do that?" (He calls the PC 'It' for reasons unexplained as of yet).

    I laughed.

Possibly because I was not 100% sober.

So far I've made a Human Noble Rogue and a City Elf Warrior.

Of the two, I like the Human Noble much more, MUCH more. I dunno about the Dalish, but most the elves in the game look...Off.

Side note, my Human Noble looks kinda like the main guy from Pushing Daises.

As a totally random sidenote, they should've made certain specializations available automatically to certain race/class combos (Like Dwarven Warriors automatically getting Berserker [reason ingame] or Dalish Rogues automatically getting Ranger).

    And I want a Qunari character :(

That game looks amazing. I have it in my GameFly que right now.

    Anyone played it for 360?
