    Hi.

    I had this question when I was got air-mass attacked (lol). I know that acid spores raises cooldown of attacks and so does ensnare (and this also make it move slower). So my question is, does ensnare+acid spores raises even more the fire cooldown? Say, the cooldown effect stack? or it is affected only by one of them?

    Ensnare doesnt slow cooldown on attack, only acid spores.

    The Devourer's acid spores are the only status effects that stack in the entire game (I believe) and the Queen's ensnare just overlaps the existing ensnare prolonging the previous one's duration. Some people say that using ensnare slows down a targeted unit's rate of fire, but I have yet to see any strong evidence that suggests this.

    I play Starcraft every day and i DOES stack, i have seen both purple and green dots in ONE unit, so it will be slowed every thing of that ship (movement, armor and cooldown)

    You guys are just thinking in two different ways. Technically, the Ensnare and Spores DO stack, because they have completely different effects.

    Quoted from Battle.net site: "The viscous green goo expelled when a Queen uses her Ensnare ability will cover any unburrowed unit in a 4x4 matrix area. Units covered with the goo have their movement rate cut by half."

    The idea that Ensnare slows the cooldown of a unit is a common myth, but is a myth nonetheless.

    So technically, yes, they do stack, but that's not overly impressive.

    Plague, Ensnare, Psi Storm, Stimpack, Defensive Matrix, Irradiate, and Optic Flare all do not stack. They merely restart the spell, so it makes the effect longer (except for Optic Flare, which is permanent.)

    Then there are spells like Stasis Field and Spawn Broodling, which are clearly not stackable.

    ImaGINe is right, Acid Spores are the only Status Effect/Spell/Ability that is stackable in that sense.

    @Lemmy
    Unless I am mistaken from your words, Acid Spores slows the attack rate + reduces the armor of the unit.

    If you don't believe me, go test it out yourself. Units with Acid Spore sprayed on them would be recieve more damage then the ones that don't. That means, if you have a total of 9 acid spore on you, that means, any unit that hits it would deal +9 damage.
