both the comic and the movie had their bad points in the ending, not sure what I prefer Spoiler The movie's problem was that they could track doctor manhattan. As soon as he left for a couple of years, he wouldn't be a threat anymore. The ending of the comic was fake interdimensional alien invasion in New York. Aside from the problem in it taking place in one city, it felt a tad ridiculous. On the other hand, this would have been a far more plausible scenario to believe before genetic engineering got as mainstream as it is now.
