Do you REALLY want to see the new Zerg?

Before you vote, read this short description, i know that on first tought the "yes" option will just obliterate the "no", but, heres my point of view, this will not be one of those long and well organized post that i love to see from some really interesting members, just a quick reminder so here goes...

We know "everything" about the protoss, they were shown at the wwi and have been upgraded, modified axed and what not, it was really cool watching those zealots and new technologies wasnt it? well after that do you remember how you felt? yes anxious, or in some cases desperate all of this just to get anything! any new information of the game, and then we learned about the terran, yeah lots of cool toys, but then again the long wait, we speculate a lot here in the forum, lots of interesting topics, and new we only have the zerg, its cool, for now because we know that there IS something more, and soon we will learn about it, so the wait isnt that long, but (and yes finally here is the main topic) what will happen after we learn about the Zerg?

Lets say that starcraft 2 will be out late 2008 (just for being honest on my opinion, but id love it it could come out sooner) could you really wait 1 year without any real big news? by the time we could get starcraft2 Karune will be writing Q&A # 987912!, im being honest i dont want to know every detail of the game right now, there will be nothing left to look for!, just the game itself, i want some surprises! so what do you think? do you really want the zerg now? or do you want to wait a little more, so the game gets some fixes, more ideas, maybe more protoss, terrans, some plot revealed, because im telling you all, if we learn everything its gonna be hell of a long wait!.

Once Zerg is released, I'm pretty sure that Beta will follow soon after. (2-3 months afterwords).
So no, why would I want to know any more new info if Beta is coming soon afterwords.

i want to see some zerg, i agree that it would be bad if they just went and released everything tomorow and then we had to wait for another 1-2 years for release.

we wont see beta any time soon. Once blizzard enters into alpha theyll probably spend 4-6 months testing and then have a closed beta for a couple of months. Then comes the public beta which is usually a couple of months.

 

Theyll release 4 units and 1 structure, just as they did w the other 2 races.

 

Singleplayer campaign. Actually playing the game. Gaming it online against/with friends. Learning about combos, inventing tactics, coming up with sneaky stuff.

There's a lot of stuff left to do that doesn't have to do with revealing the Zerg, so yeah, bring on them Zergs!

 

Sure, why not? Everything is subject to change (so new stuff can happen) and trickling info about a race isn't going to make the wait any easier. At least for me.

 

I want zerg NOW! I don't care about anything else.

A new zerg unit every couple day's or at most a week because I would like to see the zerg more better in a few term's but I won't exactly say untill I've seen and known more about the zerg!

i remember the adrenaline once i saw the Protoss and the Terrans
I remember the adrenaline when i heard Zeratul in the campaign said 'Till the end of all things' ;D

My question is, what would be the next big convention where they'd reveal the zerg? There's E for All, but I'm not so sure about that. Any thoughts?

 

There could be some Zerg units being axed/scrapped but hopefully they will make things just right for the Zergs

 

Seeing how far SC2 is from released, no hurry for me. I hope they don't rush it like they did WC3 in the end and just do what they do. Balance out the zerg so they're still quantity.

 

They could release the zergling and the mutalisk haha.

On a more serious note, they should reveal them one by one. Like they are doing now with Terran and Protoss.

This creates more excitement. And advertisement.


However, I do agree with you, Sagathox, too.

Blizzard isn't actually releasing the Protoss/Terran units one by one.
All their units were revealed by magazine issues. PC gamer if I remembered correctly, was the one responsible of revealing most of the Protoss line-up. A Swedish + German magazine was responsible of revealing the Terrans.

I believe that one of the magazines out there will also go into detail of the Zergs when the time is right. So keep an eye of any gaming magazine guys.

 

We don't actually know "everything" about the Terrans or the Protoss. What about the Stasis Orb that could be found roaming screens at Blizzcon? What about "We're still considering the Firebat"? There's enough up in the air, even for the "solidified" races, that we won't be able to claim to know enough of the big picture until the game is deep into Beta, so I am not worried about Blizzard revealing a large proportion of, or even all of the information they currently have about the Zerg and leaving us with no mystery.
