So, how often do you play against computers on b-net? I play every once in a while during my continual battles online because they offer a rest from fighting against people.

I find computer v. player games fun because computer players allow you to tech a bit easier and they fight differently than human players.

I play a lot against cpu but created in LAN. I also think that it is a different challange than human players, sometimes harder, sometimes easier, but there is no risk of being owned :)

It doesn't teach you much aside from the basics.

Yes, but you can just trick the computer, making ambushes, rush their workers, make a total ass of them, the only thing that bothers me that they seem like they always know what am I doing. Well they are cpu tough..

Yeah I have noticed that, it annoys the hell out of me when I am playing the campaign.

However, it can be a lot of fun to play with real people and fight the computer.

One game that I had today, my base was surrounded by 3 computer bases, while my allied were of the other side of the map with another computer player. I managed to hold out until they could help by building cannons around my small base to hold them off.

Because I was constantly attacked, I devoted all my workers to gathering minerals to build more cannons and a few zealots.

The map was one of those where 4 bases are in one corner, and 4 are in another. So my base was just outside of the range of the computer's base defences.

Well that is a risky job, what if you run out of minerals? The hardest game I could win was a 4 vs 1, I had a hard time with their rushes.. But when playing like 4 vs 2, the other comp just seems like doing nothing to help me..

    Yes it was

And as Hunter said, my minerals were becoming used up, simply because I couldn't expand out from my base since my position was at the very top corner, meaning all my escape paths were blocked my enemy bases.

No, 2 of them were players, and one was a computer. After they killed the enemy on thier corner, they built an army to fight all three around me at the same time.

Perhaps I should rename the title, what I meant was human team v computer team games.

I will almost always play with comp teams stacked against players, because comps are not strong enough to beat a good human with a 1:1 ratio. I usually consider a human to be worth 1.5 comps. The only times I play with even teams are when my allies are weaker players that are likely to die early (and even it out quickly) or will not be able to hold expansions or push into comp territory. Actually, quite a lot of the losses on my record can be attributed to biting off more than I can chew, when it comes to comps: I typically play more recklessly against them.

Hmm Eon do you usually have the resource deletion problem? This means, all corners to new minerals are blocked, or all resources nods have been depleted. I've had this happen, but if you have more gas then minerals, you could try building lots of Ghosts (If you're Terran) or build lots of Archons (Protoss).

Does anyone know when the CPU dud glitch thing will be fixed? CPU players always come in and attack when the last foe to defeat is nearly dead, and they have a big army too.

Whats wrong with that Rex? The player is almost dead anyway. So why not bring in everything?

I used to play 3 v 5 on Bnet against computers when I was still learning the game, but now I usually just play against humans because it ticks me off how the CPU can see the whole map without scouting.

I do not like that either. When playing as protoss vs zerg you do not stand a chance if you can't hold of the first zergling rush, and they always find you right away.
