Am I the only one who doesn't understand the idea behind Aurora, the Protoss, burrowing, and the text after that?

Erm, I thought we had a rule against talking about torrents and stuff? ijffdrie already had 11 bans iirc for breaking rules. XD

And why do you mention the Protoss? :s

And burrowing as in 'getting out of the way because something that could endanger me is coming closer pretty fast' Just a shortcut. ;)

Hey torrents are legal as long as you own the original. Like I have The Sims complete collection but the cds are scratched up so I downloaded the torrents for them. Completely legal since I own a genuine copy.

when i download a movie, and i like it, i will buy the dvd, and since i buy more movies this way, torrents support the movie industry

I do the same with dvds. I normally never buy any movies, only the ones I downloaded and liked. -or the ones I saw in the cinema or rented-

And before downloading music came along, people would just taped stuff from the radio all the time. You never heard anybody bashing that.

I dont really know how much music is downloaded since i never download any but anime openings, but if i understand correctly the amount of stuff people actually buy is really really low

I have a buddy who has a server that does nothing but download torrents 24/7. He did get caught by the cable company, so he paid the fees and the set up his ip adress so that it goes through several countries so it's hard to trace.

Agree with you Aurora. As for music downloading.... I don't really think the RIAA or recording company can trace down all the user and put them in jail for "downloading their songs" in the internet without any support from the local government. Enough of W***z talk... I'm thinking to buy an original game though. Like Starcraft 2 just to show my support.

They only point their attention at you if they detect you are downloading a crap load a lot. All cable and satellite companies can monitor your internet.
