    "Display driver has stopped responding..."

I get that error message only during cinematics. Interestingly enough the video only pauses for a second then resumes (sometimes without sound) but the game does not crash. Actually it might happen during the game as well because now that I'm thinking about it there are short rare pauses while I'm playing.

    My Specs:
    Intel E5800 2.4 GHz dual-core
    4 gigs of ram
    nVidia 9800GTX+ 512 mg ram
    650W power supply

I recently updated the nividia drivers to the apparently new "258.__" family of drivers. I'm going to reinstall the old drivers to see if that resolves the issue.

If anyone can help please do.
    Thanks!

LOL why you stopped playing PC games. ;)

This is definitely a driver issue. Make sure you have DirectX 11 installed, and then look on the manufacturer's forums to see if you can find a solution to the issue. But unfortunately there's not a lot we can help you with for a specific graphics card and driver. Unless someone else has fixed this?

Let us know what the solution is once you find it so others can find it too!

When I went back to the 197.45 drivers that seemed to fix the problem.

@Shockwave heres the link to the 197.45 drivers if you want to try to install them. Also, if you've already gotten the new drivers (2.58.__) Then remember when you install it takes a while I almost restarted my comp thinking the re-install was a fail but it's fine it just takes a long time.

    @Joneagle

I'm just curious.... since the 9800 doesn't even support DX11 why would it be necessary to have it?

Good stuff, so it's a driver issue for Reaper.

    @ Mongoose,

Again, I'm not an expert on each and every card. I'm just like you guys, only an expert on the cards I've used. I didn't realize the 9800 didn't support 11. In that case make sure you've installed the latest version of DirectX 10, and I'd also check the card's support (Nvidia's Performance Manager) and try turning off SLI and Shader settings to see if it gives you video.

But I still think this is mainly a driver issue. Try downgrading?
