Hello, i recently bought SC2 digitally as it is the most convinient thing for me. But I'm experiencing a serius problem. The first problem is when im tried to download on my stationary computer (wich is abit old but has good speccs) after 15 minutes of the blizzard downloader, my computer just suddently restarts itself. i tried all the things i knew in to try find a solution to this problem, but couldnt figure it out, everything else on my computer works just fine. So I gave up and descided to download it to my laptop. Althou on my external harddrive. As im guessing the download file is a install file and i can install it on my stationary no? my laptop and stationary use a shared 1TB external hardisc. none the less my laptop is strong enough to run SC2 requirements with no problems. The download on the laptop seemed to work fine. And it kept downloading. But once it reached 57% strange thing start to happen. The download refuses to budge any further. Althou i go in to view connection it stands its still downloading like nothing happens. but the file itself wont finish downloading. Ive tried to restart the downloader many times, but it doesnt help, infact it goes back to 4 GB / 7.08 GB. then it starts again and goes up to 4.08 GB and stops. So i descided to let it just keep running and see what happens. Now its been running for 18 hours with 1-2mb/s download speed, and its still stuck on 57%. does anyone know what the problem is both for my stationary computer problems and the problems im experiencing with the download?
My guess it would be either A - B-net is not letting the dl go through for some reason or B - your ISP only allows a certain amount of usage IE - reaching a bandwidth limit or download limit.
There's a stuck patcher bug. Search the forums, I think Xev or someone mirrored the patches so you can download them from elsewhere.
thanks for help, after alot of questioning. i finally got to know that i could just Download the installer from any torrent site, so i downloaded my installer from piratebay, took me 30 minutes and i had it and installed it. now everything is working fine. To bad my computer cant run the cinematics smoothly.
I actually ran into the restarting computer issue when downloading the client.. it was dumb. The laptop was actually going to sleep while plugged into the wall!? I doubt its the same issue... XD Yeah, others have had good luck downloading the installer off of regular torrent sites. I wish I had a torrent file for the torrent that the Blizzard downloader users (its just a torrent client anyway). Then you could try downloading the thing with a GOOD torrent client like uTorrent or Vuze (in classic mode, cause it sucks in Vuze mode).
