Shooting a nuke at an enemy base is fun in SCI, but why don't we add more depth to it by having different type of nuke

    Radioactive Nuke
After the nuke has exploded, the Biohazard radiation will infect the ground (for a period of time) causing any biological creatures to be poison and will die if reside in the radiation too long. All mechanical units equipments will be corroded from the radiation causing malfunctions in the machinery to the point where it stops working. Cost alot more gas than a standard nuke

    MIRV Nuke
It like a standard nuke, but instead of one large warhead, it has multiple small warheads. When its near its target it releases multiple small warhead causing a blast radius is be much larger than a standard nuke, but its does not damage as much as a standard nuke. Cost alot more mineral than a standard nuke

    Standard Nuke
    Standard Nuke from SCI

A biological nuke sounds wicked, one that leaves radioactivity around.
That would probably be pretty rigged, but it sounds useful.

What you just explained what the biological nuke does is what an ACTUAL nuke does anyway...if you're not blown halfway to Narnia by the initial explosion, you're going to grow a 7th arm by the radiation which kills you over time.

it would in real life but the things is that the nuke in the sc1 did not leave any radioactive waste

the topic of radiation was discused allready i believe, the size of nuke need to have a significant amount of radiation would be to big and to strong. the bio bomb i have no clue but I'm sure that there will be no radiation

Well... seeing as I have not seen any Terran biological weapons besides irratiate, but i dont think that counts, they might follow the rule that biological weapons are illegal or not used which means the bio nuke would not be used, I like the normal, big bang lots of damage nuke. Also, who says that the normal nuke doesn't leave behind radiation, maybe aliens and powersuits are unaffected by the radiation so showing it would be a waste of time and code?

I think you should rename your Biological Nuke. It's kind of a misnomer. A biological nuke should use living things to cause damage, which is already made impossible by the actual nuke. Change it to Radioactive nuke or something. Also I liked the MIRV nuke best. It would be pretty awesome watching those warheads spread out in midair and bombarding an enemy base.

This is the MIRV nuke i am imagining:

The nukes are small and weaker than a regular nuke, but it has a very wide blast radius

Yeah, but nukes will be nukes. It'll be neat to watch a dozen small mushroom clouds rising from the enemy base.

The nuke is good as it is. I wouldn't change anything.

If at all MIRV would just change the animation - viable. But different nukes will only be implented if they actually serve different purposes.

MIRV is not simply a change in animation, the purpose of it is to have a blast radius much larger than a standard nuke

if they do the MIRV then the should have a flying unit deliver it because the ghost would easily be inside the blast radius

    @darkone
nah i think that problem could simply be fix by allowing the ghost to have more time to escape when the nuke is close to its target

I like the MIRV nuke, and maybe the regular nuke could be replaced with it, as two different types of nukes seems a little too much.

I would rather see long range, single target missles, much like the Tommahawk missle.

It costs like 100/100 but kills most medium sized units from long range. Weee

maybe not an entire mothership but something smaller like a siege tank and immortal or something like that.

It should have a damage limit of idk...300-400 damage?
