Different looks of sc2 visuals. vote here.

i like number 2. the look of the building looks nice but the background a little bright and colorful. maybe a combination of number 2(buildings) and number 5b(background).

 

I like 4, 1D and 4A the best.

 

4 and 4A
When I was looking at them in order "hmm first one is nice, oh second is even better, 3 bit too dark, 4 THAT one"

 

=) but have you check out below 4a? hahah.

i think 5A and 5D's background looks more sc. and numbers 2 building looks sharp and gritty enough ^^

anyone here also thinks that to solve the cartoony problem we just need to lower down or make the team color darker and add contrast to the buildings unit minerals etc and lastly lighten a bit the background. ^^

i think 4A and 4 looks the same. sorry about that.

 

the two below 4A look too grey for me. As you said, the real problem with cartoonish colours are team marks imo

4 and 4A are very similar, yes but there is some difference, I think it's most visible if you look at minerals. It'd be even more if they were next to each other

 

i'm sorry d1 looks the most normal to my eyes.

 

yah number 4A is a bit colorful than number 4. hhmm.. 5B looks really REAL to me and you can see neo steel rather than plastic plus the bg looks nice. 8)

anyway we dont want to mess up the graphics of sc 2 that much so i think 1D or D1 is the better pick with the team color lessen (made darker blue a bit).

 

I liked 1 and 1D. A lot of them were way to dark in my opinion 2, 3, 8, 1A, 1B, 1C. 5, 5A, and 5B all lack enough color while 4, 4A, and 1E all had to much in my opinion. Finally 6 just looks way to red.

hhmmm. looks like sc2 visuals looks fine after all. i hope the complaining stops coz i like how sc2 looks like in the first place. NEAT and CLEAN. =p

uhm.. vote more we need blizzard to see this if you want changes. i also have a thread on blizzforums but their poll is limited in max select option(10) so i did not made one but anyway i get a of replies there and majority pick most except the original. and here its the opposite. well blizzforum is like bnet forums where there are many complainers about the graphics and visuals.

i like this forum because we dont complain much about the graphics, either we love it to death or dont care at all about the current graphics or visuals.

and 2 looks dark and gritty. 7 and 8 looks nice as well. there are plenty to choose from. i dont even really know which one is the best for sc2. if they stick with the original i think they should make the team color less bright and come up to look like number 1D.

 

I like 4 and 4A. They are more vivid, making it much easier on the eyes than some of the others. They are actually more stylized than the ones that are adjusted to look "realistic" and better for it.

 

2nd 4th and 1B are the best. Not too much of modification, but they look nice.

There's not too much difference, although I have to admit it looks many times better with the gloss turned down so everything isn't plastic looking.

 

so far 1D is the highest vote count. i think most of us agree with the current contrast and sharpness of the building and units the only problem is the light shiny blue team color.

2 looks gritty and dark. 4 looks nice but the buildings looks like sticker compared to the bg, to much contrast i guess. anyway i still like 5B if the color was more darker.
