Different coloured psi blades and auras

I was looking the pictures on the official Starcraft 2 page, and I think Blizzard's idea of having different coloured psi blades is weird, because it will be weird to see zealots with pink, black or white blades..

In my wiev the best colour is the blue, and I think the different coloured armours would be enough.

What do you think about it?

 

At first i thought that the different colored blades were awesome, a big change from the original blue, but i see how it would be awkward for the zealots of lets say color black to wield black blades, it would look like they're wielding obsidian. As for the blades i don't really mind what blizzard does, it might present some problems but its a nice texture, but i do have a little problem with the pylon crystals being the same color as the player. For example, if you're player pink, you'd have pink crystals, pink accents, and a pink aura, i think that that's too monochromatic, and i'd get sick of it. For me though, its not a big deal.

 

Personally I think the armor change is enough; although some colours would work for the blades instead of blue as well, like red or white, definetly not pink though.

I like different colored psi blades and auras. Especially green.

 

I personally always thought of the Protoss 'energy' as blue. As a result, I think things like the Pylon crystals, Zealot blades, etc. should remain blue and the color changes should be reflected more on armor/other parts of the building like the original Starcraft.

 

i think its realy cool that they have changed the color compleatly.

it would look wierd with red armor and blue blades
i also agree that pink zelots would look realy wierd.

pink...how ghastly hahaha. But ya the change to the skins for zealots was pretty cool and the different color blades just up the feel of the starcraft universe. I personally think their really cool and +1 to blizzard

 

The psi blades and the pylons have an aura of psi energy

if you make the psi energy of blades and aura a different color then wouldnt the rest of the psi energy in every other building and unit on that team be this new color?

not just the blades and pylons, like other weaponry such as the stalker weapon and the archon aura... is that psi energy?
and if so then shouldnt it also change with the team color

i agree pink aura, black aura and most definately brown aura will look horrid

 

In sc1, Protoss technologies actually had their basis in a variety of references in physics, like the dragoon's singularity charge, the photon cannon, the scout's anti-matter missiles, plasma shields. Therefore, no matter what the team color, the basic attack (and color of attack) would be the same. Also reading all that sci-techy stuff was fun, but since sc2 is all about psi-this and phase-that for the protoss i really don't give a crap anymore. If the auras suck let em suck.

 

Lol you're right, let Blizzard do what they want, and try to be only with the blue team

 

i personally would love the idea, if you got to choose your own colors, i would go for black

 

since blizzard can do whatever they want with the game ...

who said there would be any pink team

you guys are looking at this the wrong way, everything is variable

all blizzard has to do is decide not to use brown, black or pink as team colors even though you could in starcraft 1

 

I think that the more customizable that the game is made, the better it will be. It allows certain players who want to change the color of their pylons to do just that. I personally would go with the blue (more that's it's my favorite color than in keeping with protoss tradition. Green is also nice). But at least people who don't like blue have the option of changing what they like. I think that you should be able to decide if everything changes color or just markings on the armor (and then which color). It's all about freedom! Freedom to pick which horrendous shade of color you want your pylons to be. Some people really need that in their StarCraft experience. I think we should give it to them.

 

Lol, I would choose white. White psi blades. The green protoss looks a LOT like the Undead from WC3.
