I don't know if it could get in the way of the game's swiftness, but don't you guys think that amongst the groups of same units, that some diferent patterns of marines could exist, as example? Like, an armor scraped horizontally, and another one with a coloured shoulder... Not like every single unit should be unique (that would be asking too much), but actually if their appearances could have 3 randomically picked patterns, to create more realism.

I for once think it could be easier than sliding debris from a ship on a ramp, but who knows? Perhaps it would take too much memory to create so many diferent appearances, and slow down the game in the end...

yah it will make the game look cooler! any details is welcome to me as it improves the visuals of the games. yah that physics thing is actually harder to make than making marines have different details or patterns on their armors.

nah, i dont think it will affect the games performance and controls. it has something to do with lazyness or extra effort on blizzards part. <- i dont exactly know how to say it.

I like that idea...have nicks and scrapes in the amour to add a little realism to the game.

That would be cool, but then people would start saying, "If they are trying to make the unit portraits more realistic, they should make two hundred thousand for each unit."
