When you went to pre-order your copy of SC2, did you have to tell them you want a Mac version of the game? Did they ask you which you wanted? I want a Mac version, but now that I think about it he never asked which version I wanted and I don't remember telling him. My receipt doesn't say which version it is, so that doesn't help me either. You'd think they would track how many versions of each game they need though, right? I mean, what if a bunch of Mac users pre-order the game, go to pick it up, and then boom: there are not enough Mac versions of the game for them. I dunno, it just seemed odd to me and I wanna make sure that I don't get screwed out of my new precious copy of SC2.
WHAT REALLY? THAT'S AWESOME. :O Especially since I plan on building my own gaming PC eventually and now I don't have to go out and buy another copy of the game when I do so.
In the worst case you would have had to download the Mac Client. Only thing you need is a gamekey which you get with the retail. And the retails tell "For Mac and PC".....like Shellshock said...
There's only one, hybrid version of the game. All Starcraft DVDs will contain both the PC and Mac versions.
There is no worst case scenario. Every Blizzard since Diablo 2 was released in Mac/PC hybrid discs with both the OS X (or OS 9 back in the old days) and Windows versions. So for all the Windows and Mac users out there you don't have to worry about getting the right box. Cause all boxes have both versions.
