yesterday I had a dream that there was a diablo rts game in progress so how would such a thing do? I already kinda thought of the whole thing (like the races ((how they'd be divided)) and only got 20% of it in my mind on how it would work) and I thought it would sell like a mo****f***** but how would you guys think of it?
I would have to say the mortal realm would be a mini faction if not a real one. becuase yesterday I thought it would be too much like WC or SC but what if you could have heros not by summoning but by lvling? (i thought that if they would stay alive long enough they would lvl up once or twice and become a hero unit ((one of the characters in diablo also some others, like a lancer or a thief)) but it would take along time to make) but it would have to be a problem with resources because if both heaven and hell were harvesting food or something they don't need it wouldn't fit. (I've got more of this on my mind but it's probably too long to post).
I really need to start playing that game... An rts with heaven, hell and mortals sounds pretty sweet, though.
yea although they'd have to make building and units scaled to make it somewhat more of a game experience (definetly not like Age of empires 1 more like #2 probably or like Rise of nations). another idea though what if each race had their own substitute for the common food resource like a gold mine? (possibly each race could convert the hells substitute to their own somehow?). I also though about the maps, like what if you could play in historical areas like the chaos santuary or one of the towns? you could possibly recreate some classic battles, as far as i'm concerned this game wouldn't have selected boundaries (since it's possibly not being made) the possibilities would be in the thousands.
Well, probably not. But speculating and thinking up stuff is always fun. But if it was, then I would set Mortal recources as the standard. Those would be ready to use by Mortals right away, so they can have large armies. The Heaven and Hell sides would have to convert it first, so their stronger units will be compensated for.
