Demo SC2?

There was. A 3 mission (+1 tutorial) campaign that's just before the first human campaign where you first encounter the zerg and are getting helped by a cerberus squad (overpowered goliaths and firebats) and afterwards you have to shut up because its top secret and you'll pay with your life if you don't blablablabla. And o yeah, it has General Duke in a siege tank, 70 damage normal, 150 damage shock cannon

 

Yeah.. funny campaign though ;D

 

God please dont cancel SC2 like you did to Ghost.

 

Then I would never forgive Blizzard!

 

What does that have to do with a demo of Sc2? I think demos are wastes of time if they come out before the actual game is launched, because they'd give away the story's intrigue and seem very imbalanced.

 

But it feeds our hunger to play the game.

 

I thought we fed on Psi... ;D

 

demos rock! It just makes people that much more eager to play the game... if they time it right, they will get people pre-ordering like crazy! not that that isn'tgoing to happen already ;D

 

Demo is for those who is deciding whether to buy the actual game. For me, I don't care and I will go ahead and grab the game... ;D

 

The demo for War 3 was quite cool actually. It had an entire campaign, showing how the orcs ended up in Kalimdor.

Hmm, wasn't that campaign also in the full game, under "custom campigns"? Did it have speech in the demo? Because in the full game even though it's made by Blizzard that campaign has no unit voices in cut-scenes.

 

Yeah, it had voices, cut-scenes, the whole thing.

It's the campaign with the half-nekkid orc.

 

Does he crash on a Troll island and picks them up for the ride, by any chance?

Lets get back to the SC2 demo, not the old WC3 demo. If you want to talk about that stuff, make a new thread in other games. Not to be rude, but this is getting off subject.

 

They HAVE to make a SC2 Demo.
I know i'm going to buy the game anyway, but going on SC1's demo... I want to play the demo for fun!
I remember before i could buy SC1 (had to save up... I was young back then!) I played the demo over and over again. I loved the kinda mini story, because it did the job of immersing you in ust a taster of the starcraft universe over just a couple of missions!

Anyway, that's my opinion... Although i can see why some might say it would just slow down final release...

 

If your a real fan, get the demo too, blizzard always makes a little prologue out of it so it adds up to the story
