Dark Templar, SCVs, Zerg Buildings, Terran Infestation and GAMBITS!

    Crappy day at work, so i dreamed more about SC.

    How many times has an infested Terran command centre turned around the game? This was a mechanic that i REALLY wanted to see dealt with in Brood War but i felt was a tad lacking. It seemed the only time i produced those zombie proximity bombs was when my ally build me a CC.

    Heres a thought:

    You take your parachute-like zerg queen to the perimeter of the enemy base, you scout along until you finally find either a... okay wtf my comp is shutting down in 5 seconds.... brb.

    I'm not even joking,

    i have rewritten this thing like a billion times and i don't want to do it again but...

    nutshell time.


    It would be sweet if the Zerg could infect more than just a CC.... that way they could sneak up on you, infect your building, and then after 30 seconds or so, produce some of those zombie bombs.

    the player would be notified ofcourse, and have the last 10 seconds or so to respond and start the repairs.

    might make for a cool mechanism like the "nuclear launch detected".... only "infestation detected" plus..... it would make for a GREAT distraction.

    Dark Templar.... give them and ADV. CLOAK so they can sneak into a base and get a pre-emptive strke against workers ect. however, LOWER their damage done against buildings. PLUS, after they Attack, the adv.cloak is disengaged and they can now be detected.

    What if, Zerg buildings could evolve on their own after certain time limits, and then after the time, give the Zerg player an option to instantly upgrade it for a balanced cost $$$$....

    Science Vessels: Let them CHARGE Ally's Energies. This would be a cool mechanism to use with BC's. Also, let them DRAIN energy from Enemy's, making them a GREAT counter for Arbriter type units, Queens, other SV's ect. One SV could do some nasty-sneaky tricks to enemys like HT ect.

    Okay, sorry this post sucks ass, i just have re-done it like a MILLION times, my comp kept shutting off.

    The zerg should be able to infest buildings, but you should lose the unit that does it.
    And from that building you can build infested units, but there jsut equivelent of other units with a different name
    so a marine would be a hyrdalisk, but with all the animation of a infested marine, actually this is a bad idea

    Dark Templar idea is very unbalanced.

    And please stop using your enter key so spastically.

    how is it unbalanced? it hasnt even been balanced yet....

    but ya, its kinda hurtin i guess. your still a meanie though, giving me a huge thumbs down

    Because if, like in you adv. burrowing ideas, the Dark Templars cannot be detected, they can just rush straight to the enemy workers and slaughter them. Which is imbalanced.

    Something sneaking in your base while there isn't any way to see it sucks, if you make a big force out of them and place them right it can even be unbeatable...

    And I'm not mean, its just annoying to read a post with 4 sentences with nothing between each paragraph.

    i hope that all terran productive buildings can be infested, but they can only produce one unit

    Although I would love to see DTs get advanced cloak, it will be bad for the game. Yes it's cool, but it removes the the should I attack the range units attacking me or go for the workers, with this option it's not really a choice, more a freebie to kill the workers.

    (However, would make DT rush soooo much more fun)

    no, and the queen unit aswell as the overlord for that matter, might not be in the zerg swarm, since kerrigan is the sole commander and chief and there arent any cerebrates or overminds.
