Can you mind control a teammate's unit and use it?

You could just try it first, then ask. Yes, you can mind control any unit, even mineral chunks. If you set mind control as a unit's primary weapon, you can also mind control static defenses.

yes, you can mind control team units and neutral units but
you CAN'T mind control static defenses (e.g. sunken, spore)

I assume Terran'd then be able to use Restoration or Blind on it though, and Protoss would be able to Mind Control it back. That'd mean it'd only really be useful against Zerg.

You can mind control any unit, but minerals are not units, static defenses are buildings. So you cannot control either.

You can mind control critters though.

If you MC a transport with other units in it, you get the transport and the units inside.

lol, I said mineral chunks from the very begging, never mineral fields. I also said you can mind control static defenses if you set mind control as a weapon (only possible with a mod). Probably something blizzard was testing before starcraft came out.

    Why would you mod?

I don't find fun in cheating.

Why would you call modding cheating?

I was unaware that you could Mind Control friendly units. If I knew that was possible, I would've made Jon angry by stealing his reaver, wuarharhar!

I call modding cheating because it is. Your changing the game to something that you find more convenient. To me, that's cheating.

Just make your own Hato. MC a friendly unit if it is not of your race. Ask first ofc.

Cheating's giving yourself an unfair advantage so you could win. Modding is changing the game so it's more fun. They're two totally different things.

The blue chunks you see workers carry to the CC/Hatchery/Nexus after they mine at a mineral patch. It's not in the game.

Well, you can do that if you want to. I won't cheat and try and justify it.

    Sure w/e Wlck.

That's exactly what someone who is cheating and trying to justify it would say. =P
