Cydra Rush!

Cydra has been posting like a maniac on the forum. I'll sum (almost) everything up for you:

Using a Mothership to cloak everything but itself and a couple Dark Pylons to constantly keep the Mothership cloaked you can theoretically create a totally invisible base.

Personally I suspect there might be a sparkling/glowing effect generated by a Probe mining that obviously would not be cloaked, meaning that this doesn't stop perceptive players from still knowing you're there. Also, the classic sounds of Probes mining should be a giveaway.

Generate Creep ability is teched at Lair and gives Overlords the well-known ability to create a patch of creep beneath them.

Queens can only create Creep Tumors on creep, in contrast to the Overlord.

Overseers do not create Nydus Worms anymore. Units pop out one at the time.

He did not say what's happened to it though, the bastard. Leaves room for speculation.

A lifted-off Command Center can't build SCVs, putting them in the loading spots it has.

You cannot downgrade a Planetary Fortress or an Orbital Command into a Command Center.

If you order a lifted-off structure to land on ground occupied by your units they will move out of the way.


Karune made a post to, regarding the Phoenix.
The Phoenix still has Anti-Gravity. It is a channeling ability, thus a Phoenix can't both A-G and attack. The ability costs 4 energy / second. Phoenix maximum energy capacity is unknown.

Nice to know this stuff, and the battle report was bad quality? I saw everything very crisp when I watched it.

 

I have it downloaded full quality, perhaps its a lack of AA... not sure.

 

I watched it on youtube.

In HD, the images were as if I was actually playing the game.

 

ya youtube in HD was legit... it was perfect quality.

 

The high quality download was perfect for me, maybe yours is corrupted or you don't have the processing power? (it skipped when i tried to watch it with a game and multiple browsers running )

Nothing really new here unfortunately but i hadn't thought about cloaking the mothership like that.

 

Suspicion of Battle Report release for this Friday is high...
