What are your thoughts on this game. I think visually it looks very good. I played Farcry and I thought it was a good game. I didn't like the super rampaging mutant monkeys though. I was playing on super realistic hardest mode because that's how I roll and in this mode you basically die if you get shot once or twice depending on the weapon because you are wearing a t-shirt.

I can't believe it could loose to anything there. Yeah, CoD's got godly graphics.....But that side by side comparison? With out labels, I'm pretty sure I couldn't tell which is which.

Graphics only count for so much, and that's all I've heard about it.

    Seems pretty standard...

There are some other points that seem pretty cool game play wise.

You can fully customize all the guns, put a scope on a assult rifle, silencer on any gun etc...

The suite, while similar things have been seen, has defiantly given more branches of how to approach the game, I'm fairly certain they will not force you to use a certain power up of the suit, except in a few points, like maybe a wall is blocking you, break it down with super strength.

I will be stealth all the way! A silencer on every gun, and the camouflage will be used often by me.

Its a definite buy for me when it comes out, I'm getting a new comp, which if you haven't seen why is a must!!!

I just played thru the beta (with a major lag up my @$$ :D), and I can tell ya, using stealth and "maximum speed" was awesome! You sprint by holding left shift, and doing that while using the speed powerup was just TOO fast! If you ever get in deep trouble, just run away by doing that. :)

I just played the demo AWESOME, is just one of the words that describes it, all of it.

You really have to think of how to use the suite to kill the baddies, I personally rarely used strength to use a super melee to kill, instead I used the enhanced armor and shooting headshots.

A very interesting gun modification is the, well I forget the name, but It doesn't drain ammo when you shoot, but at the cost of firing speed, there will be a long cool-down before you can use the next shot; its very useful for sniping.

yeah using the "patch" to have all the weapons and fight against one of the "other bad guys", is just too cool, my pc is right now without a graphics card, but im getting back my old 8800, so lets hope it runs smooth, i dont like vista, and the ultra high on vista/direct x 10, is barely noticiable, so im sticking whit xp for a long time until they finally realize they screwed up whit their new os, oh by the way, use the mini nuke luncher, its just Awesome! oh and the helicopter also rocks

Oh, it will lag.  Hell, it lags on most high-end PC's.  That is, until you tweak it.

Gorgeous game.  Absolutely gorgeous.  Not to mention extremely open-ended gameplay, realistic levels of difficulty, and an exponential fun factor.

    Yes, I am a fanboy :p

I will pray that you were joking.

Timeshift, IMO, was simply a standard shooter: very linear. It looked nice and the time-control ability was a novelty, sure, but that just doesn't cut it. All of its upsides were overshadowed by massive A.I. problems, a repetitive story, and sub-par cut scenes. If I want a standard shooter, I will seek out one that is purely that: a shoot-em-up. Something like Quake 4 or UT3.

I played this on Ultra High and it's seriously hard to tell apart from real life. This is probably the only game that actually makes full use of my rig.
