Excellent choices for the budget (although I'm not really digging the case). I would recommend bumping up to a Phenom II X4, though. This was also missing from your shopping list.
Really nice machine for little money. I'd go for a Phenom II, though, too. The videocard is nice and with that Xfire MB you'll still be able to upgrade a second one. If you have a spare DVD-Drive from some old PC left, i'd save the money for a Phenom II X4
So after a bunch of research, I'm pretty set on getting these parts. I just want to double check and make sure that all these parts are compatible with each other, and I won't end up with a case that isn't big enough to fit everything. CPU/Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640 Propus Case: NZXT M59 Combo Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 RAM:G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Combo Video Card: GIGABYTE GV-R577SO-1GD Radeon HD 5770 1GB Power Supply: OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W Combo Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue Optical Drive: Lite-On CD/DVD Burner The grand total brings me to $587.22 after shipping and tax. Total after rebates would be $557.22. I'm hoping all these parts are compatible with each other because it seems like a pretty good deal.
No Problem there. The mainboard is the one i have, too *gg*. But i would add a CPU-Cooler to your cart since the boxed ones are normally loud and not very effective.
Depends. Boxed coolers have quieted down in recent years and you usually won't hear them unless they're running at high speed. Of course, if overclocking, you're going to want an aftermarket cooler. Something like the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ or Xigmatek Dark Knight is an inexpensive upgrade.
Thanks for all your help! I don't plan on overclocking my CPU, but the video card is the super overclock edition. Would this mean I need an aftermarket cooler? If it does I'll get the CoolerMaster Hyper 212+
