I started playing some league games with my friend (I play Protoss, he plays Terran) and so far we have been doing rather alright, but I think our game to improve.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you all have any suggestions for strategies, tips etc. for a Protoss/Terran player team.

    Thanks!

Work on coordinating builds. I play Protoss and I have two different friends that play Terran. Playing with these two guys is completely different, but I have worked builds to coordinate with both of their playing styles.

My one ally likes to go MM with either tanks or medivacs. I find that if I go for immortals, I can get 2–3 by the time he has a healthy army. It's at this time that we look for an opening to attack.

My other ally has a Banshee rush build that he likes. When I play with him, we defend early and I mass troops while ge goes for Banshees. He gets 1 or 2 tanks and a few infantry. When he hits with the Banshees, I expand and he moves his tanks to help me defend my expansion. Since the Banshees slow the enemy, I am able to expand/tech like mad and take control of the map. We hold the middle or some other key choke and starve them.

The first guy is a high platinum 1v1 player, then other is a high gold 1v1 player. I am high platinum 1v1, and high platinum 2v2 with each of them. Both strategies work.

The key to a successful 2v2 team is coordination. 1v1's have 2 components to winning--macromanagement and micromanagement. 2v2's have 3 components--macromanagement, micromanagement, and teamwork.

One thing I like about the P+T combo is that both races have a lot of strength, and Protoss has mobility. My Terran ally can slowly take over the map, while my forces serve as search and destroy. I can use my mobility and strength to clear an area, then my ally can move in and hunker down--securing that area for our side. I always build pylons around the places where my ally has dug in so that if he gets attacked I can warp in armies to help.

As for unit combos--tanks are a must for the Terran, zealot/stalker is a must for the Protoss. Seiged tanks with a zealot/stalker meat shield is a tough nut to crack. If you want to go air, viking + void ray is nice.

    Hey guys,

From what I've heard, their is a really great strategy you can use specifically with terran/protoss 2v2 to bunker rush one of them (if they aren't zerg of course). I think one video on YouTube talk about it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMk8OdFNfDw

Good luck in your quest :D
