I get an error that says, "Please make sure that the file is a valid starcraft map". My copy of the map is a year old, and I've worked on it alot, so losing it really isn't an option. So I have a few questions, 1. Can it be reverted? 2. If not, are there any programs that may help? 3. Any other ideas? I have a few ideas myself, but most of them cost money. Anyone?
Assuming you were using it in starforge prior to the corruption, the map is pretty much lost. However, there are a few chances of getting it back: 1. Did it ever get saved to some external drive (ie, CD, flash drive, floppy disc)? 2. Was it ever emailed to somebody, and if so, do they still have the email? 3. Did you ever upload it somewhere to the internet? 4. Was it ever saved in an autosave file or in a temp file, that is somewhere on your computer? 5. Did you ever save it anywhere else on your computer?
I forgot to add that I was using SCMdraft. In hindsight, it was a poor choice. ---- I found the saves, and they work with the regular editor (the one with starcraft), but Scmdraft won't load them(?). Oh well, units can be replaced. Thanks for your help!
you might try starforge, which is the hottest starcraft thing excluding medics. except for the fact that it randomly corrupts maps... which is why you save often, and always have a backup...
