I don't know much about computer specs and all that so I wanted to know if I upgrade my computer will it be able to play SC2 (mostly online) or will I need to just buy a new pc? I know the min specs are: --2.6 GHz Pentium® IV or equivalent AMD Athlon® processor --128 MB PCIe NVIDIA® GeForce® 6600 GT or ATI Radeon® 9800 PRO video card or better --1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 users) --1024X720 minimum display resolution Here are my specs: --Number of Processors Install: 1 --Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+ , MMX, 3DNow, 2.1GHZ --Memory - 512MB Ram (got this from a website with my exact computer model specs: Maximum Memory: 1 GB Memory Technology: DDR SDRAM). So I guess I can only upgrade to a max of 1 GB of ram?? --Current display mode 1024X 768 (32 bit) (60hz) I was thinking of upgrading my graphics card to at least a Geforce 6600 GT, or better, pending if it's even worth it or if my CPU will still be too slow. (I only have 1 AGP slot and 2 regular PCI slots, no PCI express slots unfortunately. ) and then adding 1 more stick of ram into the computer - but if I add another 512MB stick of ram into the last slot, giving me about 1 gig of DDR ram - will that be enough?? The problem is I don't know if the CPU is fast enough even if I upgrade my graphics card and Ram... It says AMD 3000 + is only 2.1GHZ.... but is that accurate? Or is an AMD 3000+ capable of handling SC2? And I also don't have a PCI express slot.....so i dunno? So is it hopeless? Do I just need a new computer? I'd rather spend $140 for a new graphics card + ram IF it'll be strong enough to play SC2 vs spending $500 on a new PC. But maybe I'll need to save up for a new PC, hopefully someone here can give me that advice =p
