    Hey guys, I made a new RPG map thats kinda like Crash RPG ( most ppl have played ) it has the same layout and same style. I have the computer spread throughout the whole map buildings and all. But i had to set the AI script to Allways --> Run AI script BW-Zerg Campaign INSANE at "anywhere" and the drones gather 1 set of minerals each.. then do nothing for the rest of the game. I dont under stand. they build an overloard or two if you kill some. But at the start they rush the Human units with Lings and hydras, then chill and do nothing for the rest of the game.. Did i do something wrong? Or did i give the computer to many buildings? If i did then thats gunna suck.. cause all other RPG games the computer AI runs really well.

    Any help would be appreciated :)

    As well I think i did the location wrong since i set it to "anywhere"

    Try to create multiple locations, one per main hatchery. Then do the same set of triggers for each location. Should fix it

    With the exception of Area Town scripts, only one Campaign AI script should be run for each player. Each Campaign AI Script is associated with a Location. This Location must be centered near a source of Minerals and a source of Vespene Gas.

    Campaign AI scripts are designed to start with an advantage over the player in initial resources and units. They will attempt to wear down players over time. They do not expand aggressively and perform best if supplied with enough starting resources to build through the technology tree (roughly 6000 each of gas and minerals).

    Custom AI scripts are designed to start with the same resources as other players. They expand to gain new resources and attack players aggressively. Only one Custom AI script should be run for each player. They should not be used with Campaign AI scripts.

    And im usually in OP archaicdrago

    And my AI script is

    Allways
    -------------------------------
    Execute AI script "Zerg Expansion Custom Level" At "COMP AI"


    And all the drones Mine once then dont move... No building overloards no nothing... its weird
    And the COMP AI location is over minerals and Gas and a Hatchery :( :( :(

    There is your error already. You are using a Custom AI script instead of a Campaign AI script. The Custom AI script expects to start with nothing just like in a melee game. You should stick to using a Campaign AI script for your map especially since you have pre-placed structures and units:

    Well the AI now builds an Overloard. and upgrades "burrow" and teaches upgrades.. But the drones still mine once and they stay still and dont do ne thing. :S :(

    Can you send me a link to your map? I would like to take a look and address the problem for you.

    I found your map link and have came up with this solution:
    NOTE: Add/Modify the items marked in yellow to your already existing triggers.

    This trigger sets up the Campaign AI script to run constantly.

    This trigger reacts to the "switch" being enabled and activates the Campaign AI Script.

    uhhh... wheres the map link?

    EDIT:
    i see your problem
    if the zerg are the enemies and they rushed the first wave, youll see that all of their drones are gone
    the AI script usually starts with the drones, without that, AI is screwed, i suggest you just build all
    of their required buildings and add few more drones

    usually, this doesnt happen with toss or terran

    and make sure if youre running an AI script (BW insane, etc) that the location is specified and large enough and covers the whole building area (or anywhere, that could work).

    ill test more things for this

    EDIT2: okay, problem is that they dont produce workers...ill see how to get around it

    I created it in this same Thread its called Wave Survivors RPG its right below this Topic in the Maps and Relays



    Awesome! thank you very much "Imagine", Im at school at the moment.. ( stupid college -.- .........) lol But ill be home later on to fix it.. BUt as my first completed RPG.. Its ok tho isnt it??


    Well thing is i have the Location over a few buildings Gas and Mins spot.. They also have 28 drones :( or more even... Its weird ive never seen a AI juss mine once then do squat from that point on..

    It seems that the "Anywhere" location works best with an Insane AI script. When you do get home to your dorm or wherever your living quarters are, try making the modifications I suggested and see how your map runs before anything else. I would like to know if it solved your problem!

    Im makeing the trigger but what do i put with the
    Kill all...

    and i have 4 terran beacons cause i use a terran beacon for the upgrade area


    EDIT: NVM im a retard..... Existing trigger lol i started to make a new one >.>

    i cant dload, i wonder why... can you reup on mediafire.com?
    ( imagines back.... that means i cant rule the maps section :( ..... fiddle with my ums maps for a while imagine)

    okay, i see your problem (still cant dload your map)
    well, i fiddled with the AI and set all build time to 1 for research purposes

    imagine is right, the "anywhere" location should do the trick, if not, let me know
    (imagine is good.... my career is over)
