my computer is running starcraft but there seems so be slight lag. i know is not the best computer, if not a piece of junk but i dont have a lot of money to get a new computer. what should i get so i can run starcraft better. here are my specs. windows vista home premium AMD phenom(tm) 9150e quad core processor (4 CPUs), 1.8GHz Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 i know my processor isnt good but that a lot of money, would getting a knew graphics card help at all or would it be a waste of money. plus what graphics card would work well without putting to much stress on my power supply.
not sure what motherboard i have and if it will actually work with a new graphics cards. how do i figure out if i can even upgrade the graphics card or what motherboard i have.
i just upgraded the newest drivers for my graphics card and know sc wont even load up. it just comes to a black screen then goes back to my desktop.
Dude, your Processor is just fine for this game! Your video is without a doubt the problem! The min requirement is a GeForce 6600!
Since it's running Vista, it should be fairly new. I doubt you voluntarily installed it yourself. Something like the HD 5670, HD 5750, 9800 GT or GTS 250 would make for decent, inexpensive upgrades.
would i have to upgrade my motherboard as well or can i support the new video card and can a basic power supply support those graphic cards
The HD 5670 would be your best bet if you're unsure about the power supply. It doesn't need a PCIe power connector unlike the others. Even a 200W PSU would be plenty if you've only got a modest build.
thanks everybody but i am currently having trouble opening up sc. a black screen comes on and then it goes back to the desktop. is this a video card issue. this didnt happen before i updated my drivers, could that be the problem?
