I'm kinda new to Starcraft 2 and I'm still playing the campaign. Usually on Normal but I change to Casual if I have too much trouble beating a mission (only one so far) I wanted to play some Comp Stomp with a friend of mine where we team up against 2 AI's but -believe it or not- I had difficulties defending myself against a Normal AI. It wasn't even a Hard one... The computer rushed me early and I had a bunch of Marauders and Marines ready in my base but they got raped and my ally had to come and help me. What's the best way to protect your base early in game as a Terran? Later in game I have Thors and Siege Tanks but early game I have difficulties surviving. I know it's kinda silly but ehh, I was hoping to get some help. Any tips on defense in a CompStomp game as a Terran?
"Wall off" your base. Do it by putting 2 supply depots and a barracks at the top of the ramp (its to seal off your ramp), that way you can control what goes in and out of your base. Take advantage of the high ground, units on lower grounds can't attack units on higher ground (unless they have vision of the higher group).
also the computer is predictable too, if you get attacked the computer will keep attacking you in the same spot, so you will also know where to defend. but yes walling off is the best strategy. i would also just trying to mass an army of marine with marauders and get the tech upgrades and norm is easy!
Thanks. I went for the "walling off" tactic, make lots of SCV's and Marines and once I tech up, defend with Thors, Siege Tanks and Vikings for AA. Went well. Need some practice but at least I can hold. Thanks all.
I had some really good results with this one. Its worth the effort! <a href="http://eba5doyc2fg6z7-iodorurm5h2.hop.clickbank.net/" target="_top">Click Here!</a>
