    I just recently tried this on an opponent, and I think it worked, can't really say for sure. I spawned at the 12 o' clock position on 'Scrap Station' and I loaded all of my SCV's in the 'Command Center' and flew over the small island between me and my opponent. Then I immediately began teching for Starports. I know this sounds really really stupid, but that's why I'm posting this here;
    Any refinement? Arguments? Flaming? I'll take it all, it's all about progress people.

    if you guys need the replay where I won, I'll be more than glad to post.

    If your opponent had scouted and realised what you did, it should have been impossible for you to win. Sure it worked, but try that against better players and you'll get steamrolled.

    I've done this exact same thing at least twice. The problem with it is that as soon as they scout your main and find you missing, they know exactly where you've gone without even having to scout. Then they tech up antiair and air, and you're behind in economy, so they win.

    However, this *might* work against a Protoss player, if you leave an SCV behind to block off your choke (and possibly build a Barracks). Protoss have no early detection, so if their scouting probe can't get in your base and see your CC is missing, they might go ground. If they're really late with detection, a cloaked Banshee rush can knock them out. Would be worth trying.

    Another crazy variation would be instead of moving to the island, to fake them out and move behind the destructible rocks. Then go ground. Unfortunately you'd lose a lot of time flying that far.

    A much more conventional and less risky idea is to build your first expansion on the island (possibly a fast expo).

    Well, you're giving away all map control.

    I prefer to float it to the high yield on maps where its closer, or on 4 player maps when it takes your opponent much longer to realize what you've done before you have a solid advantage. Like the said above, this is going to stop working around silver league (I guess its gold league now), but if it ain't broke don't fix it

    To furthermore improve on your strategy, try holding off for the first 5-7 mins, and build a second command center, fly that beast over to the island as an expo, and build a natural shortly after as a confusion if it works you might have the game.

    I don't think it would work on scrap station at that location. Typically, against Terran especially, that is the first place I check for an opponent when I do not see them at a natural expansion. So the loss of time early on will hurt you against a Protoss or Terran player. Against zerg though....
