seem to be solid. i havnt gotten to play either yet , given the fact that i bought them , and neither will work on my laptop(advice any one?), but from looking at the manuals im like dying to play em right now. what do you guys think?
oh wow you started this thread as soon as it came up in my mind. Fabulous game, gets boring after a while but when you have nothing else to do, it's very pleasing. =) (p.s. the superweapons are a bit of a let down)
You are not missing out on much, I was in the closed beta testing of red alert 3 multi- player and it had horrible balancing issues and they weren't really addressed in the retail release of the game or subsequent patches and yet they are already working on a expansion that adds more stuff when they can't even balance the first. Another issue I keep hearing about is that in the single player campaign a lot of the missions require you work with a computer AI opponent. The problem supposedly is the AI is absurdly bad and well do the opposite you tell it. Of course stuff like this is excepted from the plauged game company that is EA.
I was actually quite surprised at how good the AI was in single player missions. It rarely gets in your way and you can rely on it to a certain degree to help you complete objectives. In my opinion the coop AI part of the game works very well. Though i did prefer C&C3's campaign because it was slightly slower paced and (even though RA3 is funnier) the plot actually followed some kind of path. Also as a bubblegum RTS you can't really expect balance to be a refined effort.
I did not appericate red alert 3 because it was a slap in the face to loyal fans of the game as for Teburim Wars that was great in everything but nothing new
