while only a few classic units are returning for multiplayer (and even then, they've been modified quite a bit), blizz has stated that many classic units are going to be back in single player. anyone want to guess how many?
I hope all, but there's no proof of that. And I hope a few of those units get changed. I will be disappointed if vultures don't do splash. (They're armed with grenade launchers.)
I would imagine that quite a few would make it into SC2 in some form or the other. The classic designs for the mutliplayerable units could be written off as being older versions of their modern counterparts, for an example, the new Carrier could be some sort of "mark 2" with greater range and updated abilities (Interceptor self construction).
Blizzard is a master in the art of being mysterious, so I'm not even going try and guess on this one.
Well i know that there keeping Zerlging/Hydralisk, Marine, Zealot, Tanks, BC's, Carriers only different style, and i do believe medic?
I personally think all of them will make it through, even a lot of the overlaps. I think we'll even see multiple versions of the Siege Tank, since the SC2 tank is supposed to be a different model. It's like expecting the Dragoon, knowing that the Immortal is the Dragoon 2.0. Some of the overlaps will probably be too close for different versions to come through. I think the Marine is considered to be the same Marine, and, even with the drill, the SCV is probably considered to be the same.
I have no clue how many, or if even all, but I hope only the memorable ones will get trough. Else I fell it is too much.
i think that would be nice. a few missions in each campaign to "explain" some unit changes or transitions. especially if it ends up pitting old vs new (e.g. seige tank vs crucio tank, goliath vs viking).
