Classic SC Heroes

I believe, from my knowledge, that the old SC heroes were named after crew members from Blizzard. However, I also believe that most people who plays SC doesn't know that. What do you think, will the Classic SC Heroes return to SCII? And not just as extras from the world builder.

Firebat: Gui Montag
Goliath: Alan Schezar
Wraith: Tom Kanzansky
Scout: Mojo
Science Vessel: Magellan

And so on...

 

i always thought the science vessel was named after magellan (the explorer)

Ha ha, interesting. I hadn't noticed that before. i had always noticed the names of heros and that, but never that they were specifically named after Blizzard members. Interesting I'd like to see them make a return, but not in the story. Seems kinda odd that Blizzard would put they're own members into a combat zone

 

they weren't in the main story in the first place, most of them were in the campaign in the custom maps section

 

I knew that I mustn't have made it clear in my post, my mistake. But yeah, I know they weren't in the acctual campain

 

personally my favorite non-main hero is dominoth the arbiter, a very good unit, one that ImaGine is really good with

You think there was a Blizzard SC dev named Gui Montag?  That's rather unlikely since that is a very famous character from literature.  He's the main character from Fahrenheit 451.  Its a very appropriate name for a firebat.  Gui Montag from the book is a firefighter, which means he fights those evil intellectuals by using fire to burn their books with flame throwers.

Schezar and Kanzansky probably aren't dev's or whatever either.  I'll look those names up and see what I find out about them.

Schezar is from the anime Vision of Escaflowne.  In the anime he's a mech pilot.

Tom "Iceman" Kazansky is from Top Gun. So he's a fighter pilot.

What made you think that these heroes were actual people who worked on the game?

i'm pretty sure that it is dominoth, but it doesn't matter because, you know what i'm talking about, considering there is only one hero arbiter

 

Gah quanta now I'm mad at you I wanted to be the one to post the stuff about Farrenheit 451 but you beat me to it :/ o well but yeah I don't believe any of these are named after blizzard workers, I believe all of them are a cameo in some form like Gui or Mangellan the explorer.

Any idea why it would be a Scouts name? When I think African Magic Charms, I tend not to think of Scouts.
