Hey, ive been playing multiplayer and getting my @#@ whopped on, very enjoyable but to boost my self-esteem i would like to totally own AI with cheats. Does anyone have any cheats you would like to offer, such as minerals and gas cheats? I have looked around the web, and i can't find any. I know they said SC2 would have cheats, atleast i think they did? Any help would be greatly appreacited!!
You would like to push your self esteem with beating the AI with cheats? Sounds cheep to me. Imagine how you would be feeling if you'd be able to blast the AI and the human Enemys with skill, not any unfair advantages. Even if you'd win against the AI with cheats, it wouldn't make you a better player, more a worse player. Take your time and learn playing SC2 against the AI, then return to the ladder games and show your enemys what skill is!
While I agree that it might sound cheap, and could make me a worse player but I felt like playing god for alittle bit. I paid $60 for my game, I own it. This means i am allowed to do whatever i want, as long as the EULA says im not doing anything illegal, which codes are put into the game for a reason. I've been doing exactly what you have said, been learning SC2...I just wanted to take a break for awhile and play god.
Open the map editor, give yourself invincible units, have fun. (if that is what you're into) However, if you really want to feel good: practice more. Besides, the game automatically sets you up with players of your own skill level after a while. You shouldn't really loose more then half your matches, unless you're seriously slacking.
In SC1 there was only 1 difficulty for the campaign and vs Ai. So for some of the missions cheats were nice if you're not really good at the game. But for SC2 there is different difficulties for the campaign and the Ai. And as mentioned up you'll roughly always win 50% of your ladder matches. So it's all there. Blizzard really tried to cater for the pros as well as the not so good players. I used to cheat a little in the SC1 campaign for a couple of the harder missions when I didn't feel like a big challenge. But in SC2 I can set the difficulty to exactly what I can handle and what I feel up to. I would be rather happy if there is no cheats in SC2 at all. They are just not needed.
i dont think there are any cheats out yet, Althogh cheats are cheap, i find that it is a good way to learn units and tech build, vs jumping out into the field getting owned.
Just go in an easier level of the AI. If that is too hard, take the tutorials, and then come back. If that is too hard, i am silenced.
Blizzard has gone through some pretty extensive means to make sure that cheats and hacks especially on battle.net will not be part of the program this time around. I for one am happy to see this cause all it did for SC1 was take the fun out of playing. All profile user data is copied to a server cache similar to what they use in WoW so even trying to manipulate client side data files will not get you anywhere. It is also clearly listed in the EULA that no bots, hacks or electronic means of playing the game will be tolerated and if you are caught your account will be banned. If you want to play God go play one of the Sims games. This is SC2 on battle.net - cheaters not welcomed!
