In a much-anticipated update, Blizzard has announced that chat channels have been added to the public test. Some other small changes have also been introduced but at this time are all temporary, such as a reduction in the Bunker's build time from 35 to 30 seconds. Among other changes, the Observer's cost will be reduced to 25/75 and the Phoenix's build time decreased from 45 to 35 (what in the name of--how much better can you make this unit?) The Void Ray also received a buff of 20% additional damage against massive units (WarCraft percentage game anyone?). Hallucination research also decreased in time from 110 to 80. Also included are numerous bug fixes. We'll keep you updated about any other updates but for now those seem to be the only changes worth noting. Source: Battle.net
****ING FINALLY. I'm not even joking, Starcraft 2 has been the most depressing release by Blizzard yet.
It's supposed to be Battle.net 2.0 but it has nothing close to reaching 1.0 yet. The new channels are even ****ter than the old... WTF
I get the feeling Blizzard could do nothing to please you. Maybe you're one of those SC>SC2 people? I love the new patch. My only problem is the drop in self-esteem - 9 out of 10 people in chat are diamonds.
lol, yeah, I just tried the new patch out and it's quite awsome... Also love the new league icons, quite more polished than the old ones... Unless it's just because I lowered my graphics settings due to some fps lag here and there The chat channels are quite awsome though... Very polished and easy to use...
The patches they've made are horrible, I can criticise every part of the Lobby/Battle.net 2.0 and how it's previous' are better. Why can't for the love of god after this long they fix issues like scrolling on match lobbies for the player list or even the fact of the auto countdown that no one likes.
Maybe you expect too much. I was a casual SC player and b.net 2.0 is better in every aspect I can think of. Maybe a few commands are missing, but then so are clans, so people will always find something to moan about. When in actuality it's them that need a review, not b.net. This is a game to be played. Your clan wars, advanced chat stuff, bots and turf wars? You should've shed all these in the process of growing up. What's that? I can't hear you over the sound of my own place, job, and real problems. only directed at you if you think you belong to the target group
How the hell can I not expect more than the original when they say Battle.net 2.0. They haven't even fulfilled Battle.net 1.0 features yet, it's pathetic. The whole lobby/(battle.net) system is terrible compared to the others.
I'm actually pretty happy with what Blizzard is doing. With chat channels I'm sure it'll be easier for us to connect with people from within our region. Already I'm seeing alot of people using the chat channels as a means to share strategies. At the same time it's easier to find partners whom you can pratice with before laddering.
