I have a great idea how about, making a evolve ability in to changeling in to nydus worm. Here is the thing: - First the changeling infiltrates the enemy base ,right? - Then the Zerg player should try to keep it alive for some time in order for the changeling to evolve - And then the Zerg player can use this changeling to turn itself in to Nydus worm instantly thus providing back door in to enemy base.
If the enemy is a Zerg then yes it would work but changelings works on enemies to act as scouts. Not too sure if it works on your own units
No it does not, so the idea is flawed at its core. Have a nice day. Vanco your ideas are extremely loosely based on actual game mechanics and even if they are they are extremely overpowered and completely destroy the aim of Starcraft. Might want to keep that in mind and think it over before posting threads about ridiculously OP features.
OK this should clear up few things: Zerg Changeling: Cost: N/A (created from the Overseer) HP: (depends on the enemy unit) Ability: (Starts with 3 min cooldown) Instantly transform changeling in to Nydus worm and change back the color to the player that created it. P.S. When the changeling morphs in to the opponent unit and color also that player will have control over it like a regular unit so it`s a matter of time when he takes it to the main base and then all hell is broken loose hihihi
Still no. And the Changeling is pretty small. Instantly turning it into a huge Worm is ridiculous from a lore point of view.
Changelings are meant to be temporary stealthy scouts, which doesn't blend well with massive swarm transportation... Besides, no way a Changeling would be mass producible with this powerful addition, which means increase in energy or even become resource based. It's currently 35 energy, an Overseer at full 200 energy can spawn up to 5. By risking Overlord with static Creeping, then spawning directly from a Nydus Network to said Creep, it gives enough risk for Nydus Worm to be relatively worthwhile, and keeping the transport role solely to the Overlord. -Psi
