CD key

Do Warcraft III Frozen Throne cd keys work with starcraft broodwar

 

no, SC CD key codes have 3 section, while WC CD key codes have 5 section, and besides that, none of the keys codes in one game repeats in a different game CD key code.

 

thx u i put my broodwar case sumwhere and cant find it i just have the disc is ther any way to replace the lost cd key????

 

well, the only ways are to pay Blizzard to give you another key code, find the lost key code, or buy another CD of SC, hold on, ill PM you something nice.

 

I've also recently been unable to find my cd key (well my 2nd one....) could you PM me that something nice as well lurker xD.

I just go out and buy the games again. I think I've bought the game 5 times at the bare minimum.

 

A tip with cd keys, as soon as you get the disk, write the cd key on the disk with a permenent marker. It will save you a lot of trouble.

 

yes or me, i tend to nail the code to me wall, save the # on my comp. Email and write it on my disk, all to make sure that i dont lose the #.

 

Thats too much. Why would you write it everywhere, when all you need to do is write it on the disk. If you lose your disk, you would need to get a new one anyway.

 

i have a little brother that likes to make me mad, so writing it on the Disk doesnt help once he writes all over it him-self, tho i do my best to keep it out of his reach, but he is a persistence little bugger, and i have it in written form just in case i cant get to it on my comp for some reason or other, i like to take extensive precaution.

 

Kick his ass. Show him whose boss and make him stop writing on your stuff.

1. sorry about not reading this earlier, didnt showed up as a new post till now, 2. he then plays the "my older brother is picking on me" speech to our mother, *sigh*, little kids are sure rotten these days... sometimes... most of the time.

2. i think i can get you one, i have a couple lying around, mainly do to me losing my CD Key, buying the game again, then finding the lost CD Key a little later, i even tried to wait it out saying to my self that i will just find the code again sooner or later, but it seems my karma only works after i bought a new SC.

 

hmm, how much would they charge you for another CD key?

 

That's like 60 bucks wasted. Depending on when you bought those games.

 

Buy it off Amazon for like $5...

 

I thought that you didn't need a CD-Key to install Brood War? I did for Starcraft Original, but then when I went to install Brood War I didn't.

 

that is correct, it doesnt ask for a CD-Key at all, unlike most of Blizzard's games recently.
