    all about this scam
how to get rid of it
    Video: horrors of the virus
A big thing going on right now, already claiming many victims. DO NOT EVER DOWNLOAD SPYWARE GUARD 2008/2009

All the information you need to know is up there. I know many of you out there use legitimate things and only from verifiable sources, but I've had a friend fall prey to this, and also it has been infecting already millions of users.

So keep yourself safe and don't download this false system if you value your computer, files, or data.

I am a PC Technician and a Server Admin, and i'll tell you the first thing you should do to stay away from this virus is....

To stay away from downloading Porn.

Not to say anyone who got this has, but in my experience, 100% of the people who got this had porn on there computers...

So, Maleware bytes does work HOWEVER,

It will not always get rid of them, there is a process that has to be done to ensure it is completley removed.

I've seen this on one of the computers at work. Don't recall it being damaging as much as annoying, but still a virus' a virus.

never even heard of this program. Im also not big on using Virus scanning software anyways because they are all corporate size scams. This obviously not as noob as say Norton, McFy(i call it) or whoever else. I might use AVG, but system restore is so much, EASIER<<<whats this? :O

Tip: Don't download stuff that you don't know where it came from. If you need to get a program get it from a trusted site like download.com who test their stuff for viruuses and spyware.

    Wrong Kurai,

People download Codecs to watch porn, and the Codecs for WMP say they are infected and they are stupid enough to actually click on the "Scan Button" which auto installes itself.

Virus makers arent stupid, and anti virus programs are begining to get stupid. It takes true skill and knowledge to get rid of the strong viruses.

Yes, Shadow is correct, it is very easy for hackers and or viruses to get into your computer these days and that is why I take many different security measures.

However, there are still some good anti virus and anti spyware programs out there if you know where to look. My computers have run smooth as butter for many years without problems thanks to these programs and some other security measures.

Well if your going for free programs, I would say "Spybot-search and destroy" and "Ad-Aware" are good anti spy ware programs, both of which I use. Also "CCleaner" is a decent free registry and temporary file cleaner. I also use "Registry Mechanic" which is not free with it as well.

Then of course I have anti-virus program called "ESET" which is also not free but a very very good anti-virus program. Next I have a couple firewalls and a few other secruity measures that I don't want to reveal for obvious reasons. I also have something else that monitors my internet connection. Such as uploads/downloads in-going and out-going connections etc. My interent browser also has some anti virus/spyware things bulit in it as well.

I am using AVG because One Care doesn't work on Windows 7 Beta (go figure, but you can't beat a discount and 6 months of free AV for beta testing One Care)

It's not the porn, it's where you look for it. If you're a total dumbass, you'll surf the internet with IE and click some page thinking it's going to be a hot girl taking her clothes off - and it asks you to install ActiveX control (worst browser security implementation ever). The idiot wants to see the girl take off her clothes so he's like "LOL OK". Then it's asking you to download the file - a conspicuous exe. "SURE LOL".

Shadow is right. If you wanna keep your computer safe, keep away from porn.

Some malwares and spywares can also be downloaded through shareware programs, so be cautious when downloading some contents.

As for computer security, nod32 is a good choice. Although personally, if you just wanna use your PC for gaming, DeepFreeze is the best choice. :D
