I'm having the EXACT same issue. I get the message to download and install the patch and absolutely nothing happens.

...any help would be greatly appreciated. Johnny, keep me informed if you figure it out and I'll do the same.

same issue occurs in Windows version when the patcher isn't connecting to the patch server at all. You may need to make sure your firewall ports are opened on your Mac.

Johnny, is your brothers machine on the same network as yours? If so, try the above instructions on opening your firewall ports on the Mac. Additionally, if you guys are both using the same router, your bother may be in the "DMZ" of your router, so he may getting all of his ports forwarded. If that is the case, go to http://portforward.com/ and check on instructions on forwarding the ports via your router. Some routers like Linksys routers have an option for "port triggering," and when you set that up, any machine behind the router can use those ports.

Let me know if this info worked for either of you guys.

If you are on a campus area network, well... see how the WoW guys get around it at your school.

Still no luck. I even disabled my router all together and hard wired my connection directly through my cable modem. Then I reinstalled with the exact same frustrating result. Mac Firewall is set to allow all incoming connections.

    Help. :(

I am still trying to find someone to maintain Mac patches (I finally got SC2 PC squared away). Trying to get ahold of the only Mac personal friend i have (who also plays SC2) to see if he can help!

This happened to me too, but was fixed after I installed the Apple system updates.

Yeah, I am having no luck getting a hold of him. He's a really busy guy who makes a living programming. :/ I will keep at it... but if anyone else wants to start maintaining a Mac update page.. let me know the links!

UNINSTALL and DELETE Peer Guardian or any other P2P Security program right off your system, and the patch will connect and install. It finally worked for me when I did that!
