alrite heres my issue, i play zerg and dibt reakky know wat to call my build. but im asking if sumone who has a strong knowledge of zerg strats would help me out and teach me counters and all that.. thanks! (add me email: patrick.garcia96@yahoo.com) Does anyone in gold/diamond have a walk through on proper timing? example: at 00:30 have this built, at 00:45 start this, at 4:30 you should have this done already. Start harass at 02:00, start rush at 05:40, etc. ** How many SCVs should I have before initial rush to maximize resources? ** When is a good time for the second base? ** When is a good time for orbital upgrade? ** What can I do to improve my micro? hotkeys? strategies?
Next time, look at the forum for Zerg strat... I found one right below your post... http://www.starcraft2forum.org/forums/showthread.php?t=13426 Don't be lazy. All those questions has been answered in other threads. You need approximately 2 or 3 workers per mineral patch and 3 workers on gas (you mean drones right? for zerg) You shouldn't stop creating workers really when you're play zerg because of how fast zerg players tend to expand. There are many builds that answers your question. Different builds have different expanding time. I suggest you search the build orders in other threads. It's ideal you get orbital command right after your barracks finish. Watch a lot of high level replays like crota on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/BlizShouter) and read build orders by good players on this site. I suggest you master macro first as macro is harder to learn than micro. Micro comes naturally.
I learned most of my builds with replays on youtube.com************ and youtube.com/HuskyStarcraft you should get a second base/expand : after you scout his base, to make sure he isnt preparing to attack you when you have too many minerals when you are both in a stale mate once you get to your next tier2.5 tech where your units are gas heavy when he gets an expansion when he seems to be turtling once you have won a fight but not well enough to continue to push into his base make sure you have at least your side of the map controlled before you do. hotkeys: #1 your command center to pump SCVs and for scans #2 your barracks #3 your marine marauders get as many as you can manage. dont over do it. orbital command after your first gas unless you are going reapers, use mules if you are against zerg, cuz they wont have any invisible units and unlikely to have burrow. it takes 16 workers to properly saturate your minerals (2 per patch) the faster you can do your MMM, the better you are. then tech up to banshees... if ur fast it should b gg
